For some friendly banter.

Do you folks think that the EPL will generally be more competitive now with the new TV money coming in, as every club has the capability to get 'good enough' players. Also, the marginal improvement in skill at the top dollar may not create as much difference as good tactics, team spirit and some good old luck.

Leicester winning last season was a solid example of a situation where not only did leicester overperform, but all of the regular 'champion' teams underperformed.

Do you see this as a one-off, or something that will continue happening with the gap between top and bottom getting closer?

I for one feel that this is going to be the new EPL, similar to the UCL - where you don't see the same 3-4 teams win it every season (of course it being a cup tournament helps) .

Leicester were very lucky as they had almost all of their competitors implode in one way or another.

Lucky for me is winning a single game by an offside goal. Over 38 games there is no such thing as luck. Luck can play a minor part, but it's a tad unfair to put the whole title win down to luck.

Up until recently I believed they had been lucky with injuries, but one of the editors then mentioned that Leicester's recruitment team actually take players injury records under serious consideration before signing them. IE, they specifically target players who historically don't get injured. Credit to them for making such a bold decision as it is seemingly a foolish way to pick players. However consistently being able to field the same 11 players almost every week resulted in them gelling into such a good team, that the individual quality of their team was almost irrelevant. Who ever thought Danny Simpson and Marc Albrighton would win the Premier League!

The big question, was last season an aberration or a sign of things to come? Next season will probably answer this but it's more fun to speculate. I think last year was the result of the big clubs being complacent. Huge amounts of money has been wasted on poor transfers, uninspired managers have failed to get the best of their teams and the conditions had been set for someone else to take advantage. Leicester's achievement was amazing but 81 points is a very low score to win the title with I can't see them repeating their trick.

My thoughts - Utd, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool will be the top 5 but I'm not saying what the order will be.

If Leicester get Musa and a few others then they are stronger than last year so why should they suddenly dissapaear? Tottenham have poch so there's not worries for them.

Cirt and united obv be stronger. Think conte will cock up his first season personally. West game will be stronger, then there's Everton with a hundred odd mil.

Liverpool if they have targets need to get them in because my feelings on next year will be who gets the best preseason in and who makes the best start.

There's no top 4 if we don't have 12 points from the first 5 games in afraid.

Si. ply because there will be to many teams to catch

Get a cracking start and momentum and we will have a great season. We really can't afford to be playing catch up next season.

Leicester won't have Kante next season and we will see how they defend the title.

But didn't u say 75% of depays shots were lucky MK?
Going by your own logic, one shot that should of been saved is lucky but 25+?

Only jostling ya mate.

Leicester also have European games to contend with for the first time, that could take a bit off them.

Very good Chris ;) been watching my posts like a hawk haven't you :P I suppose lucky was the wrong word regarding Depay's goals. I would've been better placed to just say his goal tally benefitted from the poor goalkeeping in Dutch football.

Touché though Chris, Touché.
