In all honesty I would rather Mario Gotze stays with Bayern Munich next season.

The man is more concerned with picking up his big wage packet then playing for a side who offers regular match time. Losing out on Gotze is fine by me because we need players with drive and ambition not those who are just out for themselves and the money.

And besides, Gotze lost his hunger to perform a while ago and his talents have diminshed after because of frequent injuries. He is not worth the hassle, let alone 30 million as some people have quoted.

We also have a high number of attacking midfielders already at our disposal (Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino etc) and other problem areas we need to cover (Left back, centre midfield etc) .

The money should go to an area we needed strengthened and not a luxury signing that will appease the fans but offer very little else.

I might very well be in the minority here and will probably be lambasted by Liverpool fans on this site and elsewhere. But I honestly believe Klopp will shape our team into an efficient unit that is capable of beating any team drawn against us.

Just thought I would share my thoughts on Gotze, apologies if I upset anyone who really wanted him. There are better and more affordable players out there in my opinion. We just need to find them or, better yet, just tale Leicester's scouts everywhere they go and bug Steve Walsh's office for information on player recruitment:P.

He is a world class player fit and on form, but there are much better options out there. I agree.

I'd rather we went for Rafa Silva but that's gone cold lately.

Wouldn't say he's all about the money only as all he wants is to play.

if he wants to play then he would not be "staying" at a club that does not want him, let's see what kind of advice/ help his new agent brings him.

How many times has a player said this just before move? Ancelotti has more or less said he has no plans for the lad, so let's see how this pans out. Sounds like a move is more likely than not, although maybe not to us. If we do go in for him, maybe this is just his new agent putting some distance between him and Kopp to try and avoid tapping up accusations as the club is under the spotlight thanks to Stevie G and it looks like this same scenario has possibly scuppered a Zielinski deal.

Let's see how it plays out.
