So the club are proposing that if you are say 15 minutes late getting into Anfield they can give "your" seat to somebody else! What the **** is that about, you buy "your" seat, if you are late for any of the many possible reasons or you don't use it that should be the end of it.
Tell you what while my car is parked up do they want to offer anyone it to do a bit of shopping or to drop the kids of at ballet class or judo?

Is this on the official site?

Have to say I very much disagree with that if true. Can you imagine how angry you would be if you were running late, got to the game, got turned away with what you consider a valid ticket, and someone in your seat sees a game like today (i know we were away today)? I can't imagine many other ticketed events doing this (although I could be wrong)

I think Kids, locals given your seat free on the understanding they must give it up if and when you turn up. what's the problem with that?

{Ed001's Note - so they then have to boot someone out? Not workable on H&S grounds, as you would have all these extra people milling around potentially.}

I agree with Ed001, and it did cross my mind that if they give your seat up after 15 minutes, that means there will be lots of people waiting in and around the stadium 15 minutes after kickoff, which doesn't seem overly safe. Also, the number of people waiting to get in after 15 minutes will FAR outweigh the number who turn up more than 15 minutes late, so there will be lots of disappointed people milling around the stadium.
