Eds. I've seen a lot of comments about mateo kovacic but don't have access to Italian football or watch a lot of international football so a very simple question(s) to you/follow posters. Is he any good? What would he bring to the team?

Have a look on YouTube, not ideal but you will get an idea of what type of player he is.
Reminds me a bit of a young Gerrard with his driving runs and long passes, a bit of Suarez for his trickery and a bit of Allen for some reason, probably because they play in similar positions, with a bit of Iniesta as well.
Looks to be a very good player, just a bit worried as we should be prioritising other positions first, don't want to see us in the position like last summer where we bought ballotelli as we needed a striker and he was just about all who was left that we hadn't alienated.

Rather than type that whole post and then come back in half hour and see if anyone's replied why not go to that very well known video sharing website and simply type in mateo kovacic and watch the first video by scout nation and after that trust whatever opinion you manage to form for yourself :)
