Quick question for Ed.1 if you're about.

What do you think is the best way to go about setting the team up in regard to getting the best out of coutihno and hendo? In other words, i think playing to their strengths would see us in our best light.

I think they've been our 2 best players consistently all season. Is it a simple task, considering the need to utilise the abilities of sterling, lallana, marko and probably others?

If that makes any sense. thanks in advance.

{Ed001's Note - Coutinho is simple, he needs to be given a free role, to go where he wants on the pitch, where he believes he can do some damage.

Henderson is a box to box midfielder and he has to be played that way, not as a right wing back or whatever other position he sometimes get shunted into. The rest of the team should just be placed around those two, to suit their strengths and the opposition's weaknesses.

It does need to be slightly varied depending on who we are facing, but in the main a back four provides better balance to support those two, and a holding midfielder is essential, to allow those two freedom.}

If Lucas leaves, then Gonalons for me, Can as backup. If Can isn't a CDM since I can't figure out where he is supposed to play, then maybe Geis from Mainz.

Mmmm. probably the best system would be the only one we haven't played this year, the diamond. CDM to protect Hendo, Coutinho in a free role behind 2 strikers who create movement to make the most of his vision (or space he can play into). Only problem is its narrow but didn't do us too badly last season and with a top DM and a back 4 we should be defensively OK.
