I definitely think salah is going to PSG they are the only club that can give him what he wants. A whopping salary and length of contract plus there owner is qatari, with that league being so easy he could play for 4 or 5 years. Paris also has a large population of various people from African countries Egypt Tunisia Morocco so he will be treated like a king, shame but I think he will be off.

I don't because PSG themselves said they weren't interested in him (in December) and said it was all newpaper talk.

I think Salah's preference is to stay here, personally.

I’d say that the chances of Salah going to PSG have diminished now they’re signing Kvara. He won’t go somewhere to play second fiddle.

Ello salah i hope that is the case because i could only see them or the Saudis being able to sign him.

Fans from Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria don't rate Salah that highly so your point is mute.

I am with the club on Salah. Virgil’s contract more important, and Salah’s figures in 2nd half of past few seasons really not great at all - the club just can’t get us into a financial situation with someone in decline on £350k per week.
Mo is great, a legend - but when it comes to money, it has to be calculated on the next 12 months, not the past. With players on so much money, it’s crazy to put them on another monster contract as some kind of pension scheme. In my view, Mo is now superb creatively, but understandably no longer has the pace of turn to terrorise a defence, and can no longer press or get back to support our right back.
Which - as we saw with Ronaldo at United - can be a massive problem.

Thing is though Monstersouness, if Mo goes, the purse strings aren’t being opened up for a suitable replacement. And even if they were, I’m fairly sure that Richard ‘Frank Spencer’ Hughes would find some way to make a cock up of it.
{Ed025's Note - do you like anything at all about Liverpool VV?, you dont half seem to moan a lot about them mate..

I just do not understand understand those who think Salah shouldn’t be offered a new contract, even if it’s the biggest in our history. Right now he is the best player in his position in the world, arguably the best player in the world overall. Our thinking about players in their 30’s has to change. We all still think that 34 is the end for top flight performance, but it really isn’t . We think that because in the last 30 years that was pretty much true, but with medical/ fitness/ dietary science advances, these numbers are nudging ever upwards. Salah will still be a world class player in 2 years, have the conversation about diminishing returns then, if it’s even a thing then, but to lose him now would be madness. There is no player we can sign in his position that immediately improves us.

Would the proposed 70% cap with new p&s rules be an issue in these contract talks or lack of? Last set of published accounts I read had us at 68%.

Monster Salah had a bad end to last season because of his hamstring injury and the season before he played in a team with a midfield with no legs. Yet he still scored goals and you are assuming he is going to drop of a cliff this season. Salah is one of the very best professional footballers to play the game ever the way he looks after his self there is no telling how long he will stay at this level. Normally players let them selfs go over the summer then at a certain age when they come back there legs have just gone but Salah keeps his self super fit all year round.
All I can say about Salah is show him the money he wants to break records and he will if we keep him.

I honestly understand what Victor gets out of supporting Liverpool, it causes him nothing but misery.

It’s neither here or there. Mo may decline and not get the numbers he doing now. We could get a replacement who never reaches his numbers or gets injured and doesn’t play. The thing is mo IS hitting the numbers right now he’s worth a contract right now. What happens in the future is not now’s problem. A why are people worried about wages?

I fully agree that Mo gets a contract, even if it means bringing in a youngster someone like bakayoko so that he could learn from Mo etc - I think what LFC will be looking at if there was any signs showing in the data prior to the legs falling of the midfields that year it did, no one could of predicted that from the end of the previous year - Fabinho seemed to drop of a cliff and Liverpool didn’t seem too see it coming - what is different about mo though is he is an absolute machine at the moment 1% of me things would that drop when he gets what he wants or is his goals this year I want to win everything! It’s just weird that he is saying nowhere near a contract so last year and we aren’t being linked with any RW?

Mo does need a new contract his form has been exceptional this season and if he continues and we win some major trophies he should get the balon d'or which will only improve the LFC global brand.
Two year deal is a no brainer. Could even sell next in 2026 to saudi.

john, Salah has a constant right now.
I'm not worried about his wages but those negotiating his contract will and should be.

Have you been to Paris lately it’s a 3rd word hole so why on earth would Salah take his lovely family there to subject them to that mess?
Not a chance is he going there.
