Given konate not being fit yet and his consistent injury problems over the previous few years mixed with being unsure on Van Dijk, Gomez picking up what looks like a decent injury and robbo out of form do you think the club may dip into the market?

I’ve family from The Netherlands and they are convinced we’re after Jorrel Hato from Ajax. They think he’s a better left back than centre-back and whilst they said he’s decent they did say that he’s not as good as the hype (I’d never heard of him but perhaps others here have seen him play? ) .

We need a LB who can ideally cover CB too. Robbo as much as I hate to say it is finished. Awful again yesterday and fast becoming a passenger.

Hi Ed001, Sorry for a financially touching question:

If we were to sign the big 3 on new contracts/ extensions, wouldn't that scupper any future plans for replacements?

I think it was said that we have a pretty hefty wage bill anyway, without what you would assume would be a payrise for trent, and maybe for salah? I would assume you'd need to clear out to make room for new signings!

Ed001 have you read dr ian grahams book or even had a chance yet should I say . I haven’t myself but definitely on the to do list this year . But I know via redmen tv their is a section which relates to players wages relating to point per season . Way over my head but on that platform surely virg and mo are no brainers for top wages always available putting in 7/ 8 out of 10s week in week out . It’s the fringe players ie Chiesa if they’re not up to it I worry about . Top wages not playing that’s their the fat needs to be cut not the star men.

Good shout from Raoul, jorrel hato would be an excellent signing. Great on the ball, reads the game well and is equally adept at CB and LB. He's even played the pivot a few times.
