Ed the rumours are we trying to sing varela before the deadline. I know you don't like to go into probabilities but in your opinion is this a deal we can do with just a few days to go? i understand the buyout clause etc but Liverpool always like to spread payments which could prolong negotiations and I can't see us pulling it off. Hopefully I'm wrong but would appreciate your thoughts.

Appreciate that Ed but I’m wondering if it has progressed further then “Liverpool are following up on several scouting missions to see if something can be done” as that’s pretty vague. For example does that mean we are putting an offer to the player and planning to buy out his release clause as below by reported on social media.
