If you have some time today could you comment and the below?

The media are reporting that we are favourites for Gabri Veiga which I seen you gave an answer last month but do you see a change that has made us move past just scouting him?

{Ed002's Note - Gabri Veiga (CM/AM) Attracting scouts from PL and La Liga. Real Madrid offer an option but the player wants to be a starter and he won't be there. Newcastle have made an offer and expect that they can complete the transfer but it seems rather unlikely, but he would be a starter and that is seen as critical. Arsenal are keen but need to make a decision about departures, so again unlikely. For Manchester United and Liverpool, an alternative to Bellingham but both are working on others. Others interested in Bellingham could also turn to him - Manchester City and Chelsea as a Mason Mount replacement. Ironically, the goals have started flowing as he has switched to CM from AM. Wildcard will be Barcelona but they are constrained over wages and have other priorities. Celta Vigo will not look to sell but will perhaps not refuse a very good offer matching his €40M release clause.}

So it’s basically as we were. There is possible interest but nothing planned imminently. Cheers Ed002 we should see movement on other transfers after Mac Allister this week.

What kind of profile is he? haven’t seen much of him as the Spanish league is not of particular interest to me. I know he plays CM but what are his attributes and what can he bring to the team? Media seem to have Newcastle as strong contenders today. I’m reluctant to rely on YouTube as every player on there looks like the next Messi.

This kid is a ‘Klopp player’, very busy fights for possession and very creative.
Good dribbler, decent crosser.

I’d love it if we signed him and Mac Allister.
Good midfield - Gabri, MacA and Badger.

Would he be an alternative to players like Thuram and Kone or a player instead of? Thuram and Kone are more defensive midfield players (fabs role) . MacAllister, Gabri and one of Thuram or Kone? What’s peoples opinion on the lad, is he 1st team ready?

we are ‘ interested’ in so many different types of midfielders in curious to see who we end up with. I’m hoping with all the links to Thuram and Kone that we are actually going to strengthen our DM role because for me it’s the most essential player in our set up. You mentioned some big teams are in the equation for Gabri he must be well thought of?
