Yes he will but so will Darvin and Salah.

cant see us 'winning at a canter against a strangely passive West Ham, who barely threatened' when we play them.

also City will beat Fulham 6-0 at Craven Cottage. We can't leave it to others, we need to match their results and then make sure we beat them ourselves. Havent done it in the leauge since 2019 either. Its a tough opponent, great battles ahead.

jeez, the gloom and boomers are all out. One match and the world is ending. Does anyone remember the start that city got off to last year? give it a rest already. we will be fine.

Yep, Matchday 1 in the books and let's just pack it in and give City the title.

Yesterday had Nunez started and what Diaz showed the game would have been completely different. Mitrovic went down for a weak penalty where he initiated the contact. I think after the last two performances, Klopp would have to justify not starting Nunez from now on. Nunez, Diaz and Salah are the new front three.

It’s weird that an Everton supporter would want a City player to score lots of goals.

{Ed025's Note - I have had a bet that he will be top scorer mate..

Not being funny but if he expects teams to roll over like West Ham he's in for a shock juries still out on all the love for him but if he takes the limelight off our boys he can have it, I just wonder when the goals dry up can he stand the media onslaught.

Please tell us ‘the powers that be’ are reconsidering bringing in a top quality starting midfielder Eds? I mean finishing second is fine, but seems like there’s too much sentiment for our older players, and up against hungry young midfielders like yesterday, our intensity is lacking. Ironic given Lijnder’s new book.

{Ed002's Note - You know what Klopp has said.}

He’s a very good player no doubt but in that City team he just look so out of place. They are all quick and illusive and he moves like Andy Carrol. He’s fast enough in a straight line but has the turning circle of an artic.
Don’t listen to the pundits either, they are clueless. He couldn’t get into the game yesterday for large parts and West Ham were hardly trying. The MOTM and ensuing ‘unplayable’ comments are just way overboard.
Look at the difference between Fulham and West Ham. Fulham we’re on us from minute one, never let us settle. West Ham sat deep and allowed City to play. If Fulham had done that to us we’d have won easily but they didn’t and fully deserved a point, maybe more. West Ham conceded the game and got what they deserved.
Let’s just wait until the season gets going it won’t be that easy for Haaland or City every week.

Sadly Thunderbird for some fans it’s a case of celebrating a ten at the top doing well rather than your own team if it means stopping your neighbours being successful. Small club club mentality really. I wouldn’t like being in that situation myself.

With the World Cup in the middle of the season, I don't think predictions can take their usual form. There will be many shocks and teams without too many international players getting extended mid-season breaks and team training.

Whereas it’s silly to write the season off after one game, it’s ominous that City dispatched West Ham so easily away as it is a hard game by any reasonable definition, whilst we started by making the sort of mistake that cos us dearly last year by failing to win a game that we should be winning if we have any ambitions at winning the title, the thing that also was sitting was how poor and sluggish we looked at times.

Regrettably City are likely to win at a cantor if Haaland does that every week as you have to be 100% perfect to beat City over a season and quite frankly we’re not, and I suspect City will dominate the league for the next few years until he decides he’s had enough of rain, which will turn the premier league into a farmers league in the process.

Whereas I’m not writing the season off, it would take a serious injury crisis at City to prevent them from winning as they’d have battered Fulham whilst we toiled to get a point.

Harry what are you’re talking about.

Dare to dream. Did u not follow football in the 90s? Of course ed025 wants Haaland to have a great season he's an Everton fan. City biggest challengers this season will most likely be his biggest rivals so of he wants Haaland to do well. Same way in the 90s when we were out of it I cheered on any striker who played for the team challenging man utd.
Haaland looked lethal yesterday but yes questions still remain and West ham were terrible. Nunez has looked lethal himself and still questions still remain for him also. Gona be a good battle.

Disagree as Liverpool-MU is the biggest rivalry in english football. Everton fans are generally bitter their club is not Liverpool. So most of their time is spent being anti Liv rather than pro Eve. I mean in general and not Ed025 specifically. Its a sad state to be in as football fans.

I still think we win the league this season.
For that reason Harry, the Refs gifted it to them last season mate.
It’s bad for the premier league to see that shambles parade outside the Etihad celebrating the trophy, nobody hates them, nobody supports them. It’s like nobody is winning the league.
They won’t get the false decisions and dodgy handballs this season because like you said, the Refs are turning it into the Uber Eats League and everyone’s turning their attention to the UCL (even City)
