Hi Ed002, can I bother you for a little recap of Liverpool's latest interest in cms?

Also is there one or two options that you know of interest on the cheaper scale financially as I suspect this may be the way we go after Nunez purchase?

{Ed002's Note - Andre Trindade (DM/CM) Recommended to Liverpool as Fabinho cover, but concerns that he may not yet be able to obtain a Work Permit. Barcelona would like to take him but will not have space in the squad for another non EU player. Braga may offer an option.
Yves Bissouma (CM/DM)
Ibrahim Sangare (DM/CM) Newcastle are keen on the player and the interest of both Leicester and Southampton remains. The player has said that he does not wish to return to France and wants a move to England. Has been watched by a number of other PL sides including Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea who sent an ex-player to take a look at him with two scouts. PSV have no intention of selling.
Kalvin Phillips (DM/CM) a financially more viable option to Declan Rice and Manchester United have enquired in the past and may maintain that interest when a new manager arrives in the summer. An ex-PL player acting as a scout for Real Madrid has watched the player on more than one occasion. Manchester City see as an option to replace Fernandinho. West Ham enquired and made a tentative offer to no avail in January - their interest would depend on the departure of Declan Rice. Aston Villa have enquired - it seems very unlikely. An enquiry from Newcastle may be followed up but I suspect the player would not be keen. He has the stupid haircut that Liverpool look for in recruits and Liverpool may see him as an option to Sangare or Bissouma. Arsenal interest has gone. Leeds will resist selling and look for a new contract. I expect a new contract will be agreed but he won't stay at Leeds forever.
Konrad Laimer (CM/DM) RBL are aware that there are clubs looking at Konrad Laimer for the summer and that the player has so far not extended his contract - so a sale is quite likely. Bayern Munich have considered Laimer, as have Borussia Dortmund (who need an Axel Wisel replacement). Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester United have sent scouts to watch him and may have spoken with his agent. The interesting option, and one which should not be discounted, is Chelsea as the were unable to sign Aurelien Tchouameni. Laimer will want to be a starter and that means Bayern would need to have Goretzka make way.
Ryan Gravenberch (CM/DM) No.
Renato Sanches (CM) No.
Mikel Merino (CM) Real Sociedad will not be looking to sell Merino but if an offer of more than €40M were to be made then they would I am sure consider it. Struggled a little in Germany and used as a DM at Newcastle. Real Sociedad say that Merino has been watched by Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Liverpool and again Newcastle this season. The player has made his desire to play for Real Madid clear.
Jude Bellingham (CM) No.
Youri Tielemans (CM) Seems unlikely.
Otavio (RM) Liverpool have sustained interest and something may be possible. Manchester United and Everton see him as a useful midfield addition, but cannot offer CL football.
Vitinha (CM/AM) Another JM special who had a successful loan at Wolves. Porto are not keen on selling nbut any side offering his €40M release clause in cash could put it in the hands of the player. Bayern Munich and Lazio have a declared interest. Scouts from many sides have been watching him, including Liverpool, Wolves, Real Madrid and Roma. Looks unlikely.
Florian Neuhaus (CM) Not for this summer.
Florian Wirtz (AM) Won't be joining Liverpool.
Fabio Carvalho (AM) done.
Aguibou Camara (AM) Although he has only just moved to Olympiakos, Lille have declared an interest in taking the player back and a number of PL sides have been sending scouts to watch him - including Liverpool and Leicester - but getting a Work Permit to play in England would be very difficult. Additionally, Villareal and Monaco have been watching. Seems very unlikely with FC signing.

What a great reply Ed, surely that’ll help put pay to the same questions getting asked daily, and you can again say RTFP.

No Soler on there Ed2.he is really good, and would offer us that added goal threat from MF.
Does anyone know if De Jong would suit LFC's playing style?

{Ed002's Note - Soler is not of interest to Liverpool and in the midst of negotiating a move elsewhere.}

Ed do you think Trindade would be impossible? He looks like a brilliant mix of Fabinho and Thiago. Looks a real talent. Looks robust too.

I don’t think we’ve been linked (yet) but Manu Kone at M Gladbach looks really good too. Edgar Davids vibes.

{Ed002's Note - I think what I just wrote about Trindade. Liverpool have no interest in Kone.}

I'd have gone for André but as you say Ed002 he'd have work permit issues attached. Can't really see any appropriate cover other than Sangare beyond André.

Philips will never join Utd! He said he’d have to move his whole family out of Leeds.

Ed02 - Legend

Personally I'd go for Bissouma and then next year Bellingham if possible.

From that list I would go for a more defensive midfielder, someone like Sangare or Laimer. Not overly convinced about Phillips.

Bellingham has proven for Dortmund that he excells in and around the box, although that's undermining his defensive output which is also pretty good.

This summer for me a versatile mid like Sangare who can cover for the defence and next summer Bellingham. Then we could look to maybe someone like Vitinha, a player who looks v similar to someone like Thiago.

Great info Ed - thank you.

Shame Jacob Ramsey isn’t on the list. But I hope for Bellingham next year.

With Nunez arriving, there won't be too many minutes at center forward, I have a feeling Firmino might get moved back to midfield, whether it's playing as a 10 with formation change, or being box to box 6/ 8, he tracks back, has positional awareness, good in tight spaces with the ball, he just needs to stay healthy, he might need a "Matip" treatment where he plays once a week in a competition, or maybe splits time with Harvey Elliott at right midfield.

I’d be very surprised to see firmino played in the midfield unless we have major injuries maybe as a 10 yes but never 6/ 8.
