Ed's do you have any more information on the possibility of Fulham's Carvalho signing for us today?

Being reported he is thinking he will get more games at Dortmund or another foreign club and higher wages. Not sure this one is going to happen.

Hi Ed02 hope you’re well, out of curiosity why do clubs use third parties for such instances? Is it like subcontracting the negotiations to a consultancy or is there more to it? I can’t imagine they would have much decision making powers and would need to keep referring back to the club on key matters.

{Ed002's Note - It varies, sometimes agents have very good relationship with other clubs, sometimes it is culture and languages and sometimes it is to overcome difficulties that exist between clubs.}

I do t understand the whole LFC Fulham bad blood. Totally get why they would be p. ed following the Clint Dempsey saga but that was ages ago. The tribunal regarding Elliot’s valuation isn’t LFC’s fault and since then we sold them Harry Wilson. M I missing something? Why would we need a third party?

Thanks for the response Ed002. Going back a bit I know but did the tribunal only happen because LFC and Fulham couldn’t agree the ‘training’ costs if you want to call it that? Also, if you know, how does a tribunal determine the value? I don’t understand the system to be honest. Doesn’t seem much point in it if it’s always going to result in the club losing the player being out of pocket. Surely the system is there to protect such clubs? Just seems odd.

{Ed002's Note - It happened because Liverpool forced it knowing they would pay less and would have the opportunity to damage another club. We are not going to open this and the other issues up again.}
