There are reports coming out of Spain that Barcelona want Sterling, however the player wants a return to Liverpool.

Can any of the Ed's please pour some cold water on this? Or liquid Nitrogen if you have any to hand!

Arsenal may offer an option as a Pepe replacement. Else he will have to settle for a new contract. I am not aware of any interest from Liverpool who are not short of LW options. As thick as Raheem Sterling is (and he ranks somewhere between pigsh*t thick and as being as thick as mince), even he must be self aware enough to know how detested he by us? I can’t imagine that it’s true for one minute that he wants to rejoin. And if there is any shred of truth in it, I’d hope the owners remember him mocking Hillsborough and Sean Cox.

Apparently Arsenal are prepared to take around a £50m hit on Pepe, Barry. That is actually worth a punt (whereas he’s not a £70m player, he’s decent value at £20-25m), he did manage to get 10 goals in a relatively poor Arsenal side last season. I think there is a bargain to be had there.
