Ed002. I think your insight into potential transfers is spot on. Do you think as this late stage LFC will buy a Gini Wijnaldum replacement or is the priority a versatile forward? Personally, not replacing Gini is a huge mistake. He was excellent in what he did in midfield.

{Ed002's Note - Unless one or more of the "spares" of, probably: Karius, Origi, Minamino or Oxlade-Chamberlain moves on then it is difficult to see anything happening. For me the priority should be a midfield player and the best value money deal for the club would in my view be Saul or Aouar, but Saul's wage demands would need to drop. If money can be raised then a more expensive player may be possible. Or looked to the currently injured on a loan to buy deal perhaps.}

Klopp has just said in his presser that there's "no space in the midfield". So that's it lads nothing happening.

Afternoon Ed002

Has there been any new interest in the Liverpool players you named above and are Liverpool still asking to high a fee, for these players?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing beyond what I have said about Origi and Minamino.}

I think signing a currently injured player is always a mistake waiting to happen. Particularly if the player has a history of repeat injury.

Ed, is Camavinga too much of a project to be considered good value? Word is he's available for 35M EUR, but I'm just going by what is being reported out there. Not sure if that's the actual truth.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no interest in him.}

oh mane mane, a midfield sale would make room.

Should Origi or Karius leaves whether sale or loan, Pipco for loan isn’t a bad idea, right?

Pipco is a terrible idea. As is Sterling. As is Suarez.

Kwkhong, I’m not sure bringing Coutinho back is a great idea really, he left under a cloud and our team is better now than it was with him in it - we’ve improved but he hasn’t really.

Silly thought maybe: I wonder if Harvey Elliott is being considered as the Gini replacement. He played well against Burnley.

I'd prefer a forward coming in.

Naby's last chance is as a Gini replacement. His flair seems to have deserted him, so best make the most of his pressing and press resistance . Can he do enough or is this his last season as a red?

Spaceman - Nabys flair, same as Ginis flair, hasn’t deserted them.
They’re simply asked to do a different job.

They are there to be the closest wall pass to Robbo, Virg, Mane, Fabs or Bobby. It’s an incredibly disciplined role that he is doing excellently in.

As to his “flair” deserting him, that’s one of the daftest tales I’ve heard.

Have you seen the player who showed up at RBL for one season other than at that time?

Klopp obviously sees things differently. As Y0Y said, Klopp asks them to perform specific things, and Keita seems to be in his plans so he must be doing something right.

Spaceman - do you mean like the goal he scored against Chelsea?

Is there any chance you watched some YouTube videos and think he should do that every 90minutes?

What about Palace last year?
There are so many examples of excellent touch player from a clearly excellent player who has suffered injuries which take time to come back from and then even more time to get form back and then he is injured again.

If however you don’t see any quality, I will trust that the worlds best manager knows his stuff and a lad on the internet might not.
