When you look at Chelsea buying Kounde' and getting Saul on loan besides Lukaku you really have to be an optimist to believe Liverpool's squad, now weakened with the departure of Wijnaldum, can compete with the squad depth and strength of the Chelsea squad. If Liverpool can't afford the likes of Bissouma then we'll be content with a top 4 position come end of season.

I couldn't agree more ED002. One hell of a player there in the right team. I hear the fee isn't unrealistic either.

Klopp prides himself on coaching over spending for the sake of it. We have 8 players competing for 3 places. Fab, Hendo and Thiago, Ox, Naby, Jones, Elliot, Milner, so where does Bissouma sit? Surely it makes more sense to give our purchases a final chance and whilst leaving space for our youngsters to get more games?

Can i know ed why Lyon really want him gone? i remember couple years ago he is seen as one of their prize asset. i still remember last season transfer window, Arsenal has interest but he is too pricey. what happen since then?

He was on my wishlist when the summer started.

I guess since then the feeling has been that Elliott and Curtis are ready for more prominent roles.

There’s also been a lot of talk about his attitude although I’ll take that with a pinch of salt.

Some club will get a good player at a very good price.

Not that it's related to Liverpool, as they don't show interest, which I personaly think is a shame, but i've read a couple of places now that Aouar have an attitude problem?

That is unbelievable, if he is available on a loan to buy and we haven’t declared any sort of interest, when that is literally the most ideal scenario for us right now. He must not be injury prone enough for us to be genuinely interested in acquiring him.

{Ed0666's Note - hang on a second before you get your knickers in a tangle doesn't Aour play left of centre? If so we have Mane that plays there and Keita plays the Aour position also. We can’t stockpile players no matter how good they are. We’re also broke, have HG quota issues and I think I’ve just seen Mbappe at Anfield signing on a dotted line.

If Aouar is really that good why are Lyon so keen to get rid of him for such a low price and why are the biggest clubs in Europe not fighting over his signature?
