ed002 is there still any interest Minamino Southampton did and I think in the past Saville has that gone now and is there new clubs looking at him.
cheers ed.

{Ed002's Note - Takumi Minamino (AM) Sevilla are keen to take Minamino to replace Vazquez but would want a loan to buy. Southanpton are keen to keep him but again but it would be a loan to buy they are looking for. Liverpool are looking for sales not loans but may well price him out of a sale leaving Klopp to work with him as an existing player to save money.

I like the lad. Why did klopp get him if he wasn't going to give him a chance.

{Ed025's Note - he didn,t realise he was so weak..

Minamino, great guy, a dream to coach, unbelievably shy.

For me, he's not fast enough to play wide, and he's not strong enough to play as 9. So unless we play with an out and out number 10, or a second striker, i don't think he gets in our team regularly.

The only time i saw him look a good player in our shirt, was when we went to a front 4 in last years community shield and he was playing through the middle with a strike partner.

Minamino is a fine talent, he just doesn't have the build for the PL. I see him thriving in Spain or Germany.

Good player Mini just needs a run of games, proved he can play at PL level at saints just perhaps not a regular for a club the size of LFC.

I thought Mini was excellent when we demolished Southampton.

Who the heck is Mini? Seriously tho, Minamino is a very talented footballer who really never got his chance even when many were calling for his inclusion last season after he ripped Palace to pieces in that first half where none of their players could handle his movement with and without the ball.

Also, saying he’s too weak is just lazy talk, IMO. Many thought Bobbie was too weak when he was playing under a dim manager like BR at the start. Couldn’t say that about him after he settled in under a top manager. And when was Minamino weak? Was it when he was putting VVD on his backside for fun at Anfield with RBL or when he was ripping Palace to pieces? Had he gotten the same chance Naby had, pretty sure we would have been able to determine his level. Again, lazy talk.

Minamino is again, a very talented footballer with great ability. We all know it cos we all saw it. The issue is that he never got a full run of games to prove himself and Klopp took the blame for that so if he leaves, it will be more because of that rather than him being “weak” or not good enuff cos well, he never got his chances. Just my opinion.

"Minamino doesn't have the build for the premiership. "
The same was said of David Silva.
I think Taki just needs game time and a higher degree of self confidence.

The constant rumour is Klopp doesn’t believe he does enough off the ball with pressing. I’m not sure where the lack of pace thing has come from as he looks pretty quick to me but maybe a little lightweight.

Oil Red “ripped Crystal Palace apart”. Calm down, he scored a goal and played well. He had plenty of Southampton opportunities and looked bang average.

Not good enough lads, using the David Silva analogy is lazy, similar in size but that's the only similarity, Silva on a different stratosphere! Minamino is simply not good enough all round to be here, he was on the bench for Southampton after a few games aswell last season. By the end of the window we'll be stronger than we were last year, he simply won't get games.

He just needs to get out of his shell and be more confident. Of course, he will need more game time to achieve that. Sometimes I feel he's trying too hard to impress when he should just do what he does best, naturally. I also feel that the players should really make him feel more at home and loved. At times it does seem like he is not blending in well with the lads, maybe because of his shy nature or he's having a language barrier. Hopefully if he sticks around, this will be his breakout season!

In fairness to Minamino he started slow, but was beginning to look better, he then had a really good game away to Palace and got zero game time since that game before being loaned out. Hard to build either momentum, consistency, or confidence if you are simply not given a chance even after you do play well. I'm not saying he would've been amazing if he had of been given a chance, I do not know one way or the other, but I do think that management of him has been somewhat poor and made his integration into the team much more difficult.
