Renato Sanches being linked over the last 24 hours. Any truth to it?

Maybe, maybe not. Who knows? Might only be paper talk along with all the rest that are linked.

{Ed014's Note - he was linked with Arsenal too and I’m seriously hoping thats not true!

I have been told that he wants silly money so I doubt that’s going to happen, I’m not sure he warrants it but he did look good in the euros.

Never buy players on the back of a tournament you could end up with diao and diouf.

I’m pretty sure he’s as injury prone as Keita. Which should ring alarm bells.

So many targets being named, you just know its a big game of smoke and Mirrors. No way they are risking buying a player who has already failed once in the EPL and who has injury concerns. This is just more hot air to distract from what's really going on.

Spaceman, Salah failed once in the premier league, so let’s not pretend they’d not consider it. I think failing when you’re a youngster isn’t really a fair judgment, but his injury issues and other off field distractions should be enough for a hard pass.

{Ed0666's Note - what off-field distractions mate? Is he having coitus with horses? Is he fraternizing with pygmies? We all make questionable life decisions fella. It seems as if he’s knuckles down and started playing football to a decent level again. I’ve not seen him play since Swansea but edwards and klopp do their due diligence on every players background and believe me if he was a wank*r he wouldn’t be a Liverpool player.

I’ve said this a few weeks ago. People are simply judging Renato by his shocking Swansea loan spell, when he was a child who lost his way. Since then he has been vital to Lilles title win and Portugal’s central midfield and has shown why he was signed for so much money by Munich.

Apparently when he was at Munich he was out clubbing every night, would turn up hungover to training, was over weight and out of condition and refused to learn German. If anything he sounds like the archetypal English footballer from the seventies and eighties! If he’s cut that out, fine. But he’s still injury prone. The one thing you could say about Wijnaldum is that he’s almost never injured.

Renato Sanches (CM) - his agent is currently trying to persuade Klopp that his client has in fact never even been to Wales. Interest depends on Klopp being convinced as klopp describes the player he saw in Wales as F#€@ing terrible.

Also to add, negotiations with klopp are difficult at this time as he is multi tasking on his mobile with other agents while still chasing Malen through tulip fields outside Rotherdam. He almost caught him when Malen took a sandwich break but Malen took off again once klopp got within 100 feet.

People who say that he was vital to Lille's title - did you watch any of Lille's season? Or speak to any Lille fans? Or have you just seen that he played a lot for Lille and assumed he was vital?

If he played a lot he was vital, no different to Kabak and Phillips was to us last season. I haven't seen much of him so I can offer no opinion if he is good enough or not, I will just leave Klopp and Edwards to signing and stick to screaming in whichever emotion is appropriate when/ if he plays :)

Nowhere near Liverpool standard.

I've just finished reading "paper talk" on the Sky app. Different papers on there have us linked to Saul, Sanches, Otavia (gathering pace apparently) and Coutinho. I'd bet my house we sign none of those 4.
