Hey edd02 i seem to remember you saying a couple of weeks back you wouldn't be surprised to see liverpool try to sign sancho, hearing a few rumours mane may be sold, could sancho be a replacement? Cheers.

Well from past history we’ve seen lfc pay the highest in agent fees 🙄. That said in this case I think he could be a good player for the club with the right management especially when you consider he is still on 21. Is there better options out there tho. probably.

Selling Mane will not generate anywhere near enough money to sign Sancho. There are better value wide players we can possibly get like Raphinha or Harvey Barnes. Sancho is not worth 100 million pounds plus agent fees.

Harvey Barnes is a talented player but i don't want him anywhere near Liverpool after his partying antics last week. Barnes and Maddison have both proved now that they do not have the mentality to ever be elite players.

Do you think sancho is worth the cost? We have all seen werner and Keita fail miserably coming from the german league.

The money involved would be astronomical for Sancho, I personally think the clubs mindset should be about finding someone who can compete with bobby up top and replace him in the future while integrating Elliot into the first team theirs 3 positions upfront to compete for

Salah, Bobby, Mane, Jota, Elliot and a new number 9,

Salah is an absolute machine and entering into some of his prime years now and doesn't look like slowing down he will always score goals, Mane has had a rough time this year but he is still a fantastic player, Bobby just like Mane is having a tough time but he is a brilliant player and will come back into form, Jota is fantastic its a shame he got injured early otherwise I think he would of had double the goals he has now. Elliot does look like he could be special.

I like Sancho but I think Raphinha would be better suited to our style, I love his tenacity and work rate.

I don't think it's worth the outlay for Sancho and I can't see it happening unless we sell mane to cover some of the costs. There has to be better options out there. Thanks for the reply.

Raphina is a good player but I don’t think we’ve shown any interest which makes little sense. So is the fact sancho is English a factor for squad numbers here?

He might not justify his price tag for some but if he going to give 10 goals and 10 assists every season for next 10 years i think its still a good investment.

Sancho is very much over rated IMO. He won’t get 10 goals and 10 assists either, he is having a poor season as well. For £60m maybe at £120m NEVER.

All personal choice but look at his numbers and then his age. His numbers are off the scale, IMO he is a generational talent, but one who has to continue to work hard and improve aspects of his game to hit the high ceiling he has. I do feel the numbers will end up being prohibitive for Liverpool and therefore we should and will look elsewhere.

Thanks Ed002. Talented kid no doubt but that kind of outlay for him is obscene to the extreme. The kid needs to be careful his agents/ hangers on/ parasites don’t price him out of a move and ruin a promising career somewhere. I always worry though when I hear about ridiculous agent fees though, makes me wonder about the players motivation (money)

I don't understand. Englishmen hype up players like barnes, that other lad at leicester, that one lad at west ham and chelsea that are at best decent players. And there is a genuine talent in sterling molds and he is over hyped. Like in his worst season for dortmund the lad has 6 goals and 9 assists. For forwards its about the numbers. If he'd be 20 million less he would have been playing for Manchester united which he might well be next season.
I don't say we buy him as we already have better players in his position but surely if one of front three has to go (and i hope not) and we have to sign an english player his name will be should be at top of that list.

{Ed077's Note - his transfer fee hasnt put off most teams from considering him, its his other fees involved in the deal like "agent fees" and sorts. Just think of it like this, Liverpool bought Jota for a smaller fee than the extra fee needed for the Sancho deal last season.}

Understood the transfer fees are astronomical and tbh nobody wants to pay agents that kind of insane sum. But i think some club will pay 100 million for him if it can be negotiated that way w. o the absurd agent fee.

I wish the main European leagues would have an agreement to cap agent’s fees. They are true parasites. Cap them at say a maximum of 2m. Really wouldn’t be that difficult especially as the elite clubs are the ones which matter to these super agents.

Ed001 I have not seen enough of Sancho but when I have seen him he has not pulled any trees up. His stats are really good though am not sure haaland playing upfront helps him every time I see him his work rate is not the best and Dortmund seem to be a worse side with him it.
