Ed002, about a month or so ago I put a question to you regarding gini wijnaldum contract and you seemed to indicate that he would sign a new deal at lfc, can I ask do you believe that to still be the case? Reports suggest Barcelona seem to be the ones pushing as Koeman still head coach but I have serious doubts that Koeman will be in charge come end of the calendar year never mind the season.

{Ed002's Note - I don't think Barcelona are pushing but the ball is in Liverpool's court as they need to put a new contract on the table. Ideally they should be looking to wrap this up before January when a couple of other sides might start looking for a pre-contract agreement with him. My expectation is that Klopp will ask the club to offer him a new deal and that Wijnaldum will be happy to agree to it.}

I have to give full credit to Gini. He is imo playing the best football of his career. He has definately grown on me as a player and I so appreciate him. His strengths are clear to see, positionally very good, can play all midfield positions and very important at this time plays every game. Not our best player by any stretch but a very very important member of the squad.

Losing Gini is nothing like losing Can, I knew Can wasn't good enough to take us forward. Gini is different we need him in the squad.

Gini is such a key player, I sincerely hope he extends. His ability to control the midfield in the toughest games, his willingness to play wherever the team needs him, and his fitness make him one of the most valuable players in the squad.

Get it done, boys. We need him more than ever.

{Ed0666's Note - he’s such a nice boy as well. Humble and a humanitarian.
