Good morning eds,

Are any clubs interested in taking Rhys Williams on loan or is he staying put?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Chesterfield say they have spoken with Liverpool.}

ed002 am surprised that nobody of a higher standard would not want him he I thought he looked good in the 2 games he played in the carabao cup games for us. I would of thought as least league 2.
cheers ed.

{Ed002's Note - Maybe he is not available?}

Is that a good move for him? I feel like he probably should be at a higher level.

No, not a good move. He is better than that. League 1 should be the aim.

{Ed002's Note - It simply does not work like that.}

Ed002 said they enquired, that's all. If Van den Berg goes on loan then Williams will probably stay. Rhys and Billy could be moulded into a partnership in the U23s to become a fine backup to the senior CBs. Yet again, in-house solutions.

Well if the National League is the only option he'd be better off staying and training against top class players.

Yeah because playing actual competitive football wouldn't do him any good at all.

He's already had a full season at that level, and proved himself at that level. He now needs to keep going up a level or would you want him loaned to non league teams for the next 2 or 3 years. The lad is an U20 international, don't think too many in that squad would be near the fifth tier of football in the country.
