Quick couple of questions Ed002 if I may.

Hearing Sheffield United are in advanced talks to sign Brewster for around £17m, with a buy back clause?

Apparently ( yesterday ) there was a meeting regarding how the season could end should the C.V. take hold of the country again next year?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - (a) I am not sure what "advanced talks" are but that is the offer they put on the table a few days ago. (b) The proposal is to have who ever is in the lead awarded the title if more than 50% of games have been completed by all sides should the season stop again.}

Win next 15 games and we're there Drogie :) . In all seriousness, let's hope a vaccine is found as soon as is safely possible for everyone's sake as it's unlikely to disappear anytime soon.

Surely that proposal will be turned down ed? Do you have any thoughts on it? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have been struggling to sell players because they have over-valued them and buyers are not knocking on the door. Hence no solution for Grujic, Brewster or Wilson just yet.}

Wow, so that makes having a lead at the top of the table and maintaining it more important than ever!

Hey Ed, would you know if this would be the case even if the team in the lead was only in the lead by goal difference or even just 1 point? Probably hasn't been clarified yet but thought I'd ask out of curiosity.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - It is very simple, it is whichever team is occupying first place after all sides have played 50% of their games if the season has to end. And most clubs are in agreement with it.}

Is there any news on Shaq's departure? He is surely a good prospect for someone at around 25m.

{Ed002's Note - I am sure that clubs are queuing up at £25M.}

Thank you Ed, I can't see clubs agreeing to it if that were to happen!

{Ed002's Note - As I said, most clubs are in agreement or don't care (such they would not vote against it).}

Surprised they don't care, European places be settled the same way one presumes?

Hi ED,

Would this still be on the basis of no relegation unless the season is completed.

{Ed002's Note - It is an unrelated issue.}

Doubt the league would be stopped early it would financially cripple the league.

I think it's a bit silly if the league was settled like that but maybe it's for financial reasons that clubs aren't voting against that proposal. Then again, I have no idea if prize money would be paid in full or apportioned in line with the number of games played.

I would find it strange if someone got crowned champions (even if it was us) for 20 games or so and then when back playing again to start another new season.

That really would be a league title that didn't count, 50 percent doesn't seem right. I hope it doesn't get stopped.

If it had to be cancelled then 50% is arguably fairer then 75%.

With 50% you'd expect everyones played each other once and the best team would likely sit top.

If you went with a higher percentage you then have teams that could have an easier run and all their hard fixtures at the end of the season. If they were top it wouldn't necessarily be a true reflection.

Fingers crossed we don't need to activate the rule anyway.

Good point Wyred but still isn't fair and any team to win it like that wouldn't ever be seen as true champions imo.

Its a complete worse case scenario though mate, if its triggered I think there will be a lot worse to worry about then of its fair.

It won't be ideal if its what's required but I think its better then scrubbing a season completely.
