Lovren has joined Zenit on a permanent transfer. Sad to see him go but a good move for both parties.

Good Luck Dejan. I feel you tried your hardest for our club and you did receive criticism from some fans but you also gave us special memories such as your last minute goal vs Dortmund.

Dejan may have had a few wobbly moments here and there, but he also had some exceptional performances to make up for it. He will forever be rememebered for his performance against Dortmund.

Lovren may have made mistakes, but others have made the same or more. Maguire has made mistakes but people seem to want to convince themselves that he is something special. Because of his transfer fee? Because he is English?
There seems to be a dearth of talent at centre back right now. Lovren did well for us in more games than one.

I won’t lie I’m glad Lovren has left. Loved his effort and passion and he leaves us a champion at the end of the day. But let’s face it, he was always a weak link in the defence.
