Can I ask is Weston mckennie a done deal interesting player could help is in the long run also is there any other interest in a St at all.

I don't think he is a done deal. At least it hasn't been reported yet.

He is a very talented player from what I can tell. We have a few more defensive minded midfielders moving towards the end of their Liverpool careers in the next year or so (Gini and Milner), so it could be a case that he is being brought in as their eventual replacement.

My only concern is our home grown numbers (as Ed002 rightfully keeps reminding us of) . If he comes and Milly goes then I think we are right at the upper limit of non-home grown players in the squad. Somethings has got to give somewhere to keep us in line with the requirements.

It’s not a done deal. Ed002 isn’t aware of any interest so at the moment it seems like the press just putting lfc name in the hat.

Not saying he is at the end but he is one of the players moving towards the end. He is 29 and so has a few more years left in him for sure!

I was just trying to work through the logic as to who McKennie may be a replacement for. He plays CM and is non-home grown so the logic would be that he would be a CM replacement for one of our existing non-home grown CM.

Personally i don't think it will happen - and Gini doesn't need replacing so hoping that doesn't happen either!

I would be quite happy to see Gini replaced with Thiago Alcantara but doubt it will happen.
