Could there be any truth in keita possibly leaving I have heard ac milan are interested or a return too Germany?

{Ed002's Note - It seems rather speculative based on Rangnick taking over as coach, but he has been a disaster at Liverpool. The Italian government could block a move based on his conviction and I don't see how Milan could easily pay for him. Regardless, if there were a good offer for Keita I would expect Liverpool to seriously consider it as the return on their investment has been dreadful. I am also told he has stood out in the recent "pre-season".}

Some years ago, Voronin stood out in "pre-season"

I'd love this fella to come good. There's a regular starting place for him in our midfield I reckon depending on the opposition e. g. one of those games where we want a more attacking shape - he just needs to stay fit. Ultimately he could replace Hendo, surprised to see it was his 30th birthday yesterday!

I'm assuming Keita is on a 4 or 5 year contract. So basically the first half (or almost the first half) of the contract has been a failure from a footballing point of view for the club. The return on investment the club was expecting has been nowhere what the club planned on. Yes he shows glimpses of talent from time to time, but then so do one season wonders, and we've all seen plenty of those. If an offer close to our purchase price comes in, I would look at it seriously. And re-invest in another player showing the promise Keita showed but didn't deliver.

I don't see Keita as a successor to Henderson at all. Keita has nowhere the physicality to be able to carry out the role Hendo carries out for us. And judging from the various stories and events that have occured since I first heard of him as a target, I see him as somewhat of a lightweight, both physically and mentally. Of course he is still a talented footballer, but being the linchpin of our midfield is probably a step too far up for him.

Voronin was a free transfer. His goal against Toulouse set Liverpool up to the Group stage of CL - that goal paid for everything (including his beach holiday! ) . Keita is a 52m bad investment but hopefully, he will come good.

How can you call Kieta a “bad investment “ been ravage by injuries but when he has played he has looked like he could do well for us with a good run in the team. If the club decides to sell him I think they would recoup the transfer fee. Unbelievable statement that mate.

I was all for moving him on but he might just get another under the current circumstances.
There are glimpses of a good player on occasions, when he's fit but he needs to stay fit and get a run of games to see if he is the player we hoped he would be.

Scouse John L8. But why is what I wrote "an unbelievable statement"? Which part of it is unbelievable? Do you think the club is happy having paid for a player a year in advance before he joins and then seeing almost 2 years of non-performance from him? And there are other issues with him, but my post was not about slating Keita at all, and citing those issues would appear to be exactly that, slating.

Joe Gomez went out for a year and nobody said a word. Ox was out for a year and nobody said a word. And they both contribute far more than Keita does. So we're not exactly heartless monsters who don't understand the meaning and consequences of the word "injury". I supported Sturridge for as long as I could but once it became apparent that two years of injuries and not being available to play meant that he too should be moved on.

I don't think keita has the desire to stamp his authority on the team, his value has probably decreased also .

You are deluded to think Liverpool would recoup their fee.

Behave John. Lightweight, frightened of the big occasion and looks like a headless chicken at times. Unfortunately, some players just do not adjust. I would love to play against him as an opposition player.

First time posting on here. I don't get all the slate about naby.
Fair play he's riddled with injury at 52m an you want your moneys worth but everytime i see him play a lot of players back off him because its near impossible to press him with close control.

The midfield balance is not quite up to scratch to accommodate midfielders like him. Maybe if he had a bit more weight on him people would be comparing him to yaya or something lol.

I think Keita will end up being a success and prove all of you ‘supporters’ wrong.
