Ed2, do you think Mr klopp knows who he wants in the summer, or would he and his team still be watching, discussing and scouting further.

{Ed002's Note - Scouts work year round and Liverpool has an analysis chap who identifies players to be watched, scouts identify their own and sometimes the coach will ask for specific players to be watched. One of the players the scouts have been watching is playing at Celtic on Thursday - and Liverpool will be represented there. Don’t forget it was the scouts that picked out Salah and Alisson over Klopp own choices.}

Oblak is a top keeper but I think (correct me if I'm wrong Ed) would have been more expensive than Alisson and not as talented with ball at feet. Scouts made the right choice.

I am happy to hear though that it sounds like we have a good collaborative effort going on behind the scenes. It seems Klopp trusts his scouting network with very noticable results.

{Ed002's Note - All coaches have to trust their scouting networks - but if Oblak were available I would think he would have been more expensive.}

I think alisson suited our playing style more than oblak aswell as AM play a lot more defensive style than we do.

Interesting news today that Chelsea are looking to swap Kepa + £25m for Oblak. I'd guess AM may want a bit more cash than that based on what Ed002 said above and Kepa's recent firm!

{Ed002's Note - There has been no such suggestion - whilst Chelsea has a list of GKs they have been looking at, they know that Oblak will not be available.}
