Hi Eds,

Heard yesterday on a transfer podcast that Liverpool have begun negotiations for Timo Werner, to buy now and loan back until Summer 2020. Any truth in this? Thanks

CarlosJackal.

{Ed001's Note - no.}

Great player. Shame there's no truth in the podcast.

i know we probably aren't in for him, but with his new contract a lot of news reported that it had a very low release clause so that he would sign. is this correct?

{Ed001's Note - no idea, but he wants to go to Bayern and they want to sign him.}

Do you think it will ever change in the bundesliga, it seems as though any top German talent is just earmarked to move to Bayern at some point.

I’m pretty sure the Leverkusen manager said he’d prefer to see havertz go there than abroad. Surely you shouldn’t be saying that as the manager.

I guess lewandowski isn’t getting younger, good to get in Werner now to get up to speed.

Although I don’t see their coach surviving the season, who do you think will end up replacing kovac?

{Ed001's Note - it will change as Bayern are falling behind in Europe and players will choose a chance of winning European competitions over Bayern in time.

I have no idea who will replace Kovac, though teams usually go reactive after a failed choice and look for something different. So maybe instead of a young, up-and-coming manager, they will go for a big name experienced man such as Mourinho.}

Agree I’m hoping havertz is the first to make the move, but I feel like that is merely a fantasy!

Indeed I’m surprised Mourinho or wenger domt have new jobs now.
