Read a rumour that there is an agreement between Liverpool and Salah that he will be allowed to leave at the end of the season if Barcelona or real come calling. Any truth to it? I'd imagine it's a Spanish paper trying to stir things up.

I seen that yesterday mate annoying isn't it I would like too think he wants too stay with us.

So as soon as he's back in the goals more regularly he gets linked with a move by newspapers? Shock horror. I wouldn't worry about it mate.

Liverpool may sell to "anyone" should "anyone" make an unbelievable offer, why limit ourselves to Real and Barcelona only? I think we are getting ourselves into a position that players would want to stay as we are starting to look like the real deal, whereas Real look like a bloody mess. Does Modric want out?

When will people learn about reading this tripe and believing it enough to ask if there’s any truth. Let’s see if either club can raise the 150-200 mil to make an offer before we start hitting a panic button. Besides weren’t most of the press reporting him as a 1 season wonder last week?

{Ed002's Note - It will be based on his efforts to move to Spain and having his agent speak with both clubs. I have explained that the package being asked for saw RA laughed out of the building.}

Players come and go, they are transient. Very few will have genuine loyalty to 1 club, especially it seems, when Barcelona and Real madrid come calling.
I do not believe this story, but even if it were true, find a replacement and move on. It happens all the time in football.

i know it is annoying mate isn't it. I normally wouldn't pay attention and assume that its a spanish paper trying to unrest the player as they want him at RM / Barcelona and using the lack of goal celebrations as an indication he wants to leave.

The end of the season is a long way away 👍.

Why would he leave the Champions of England and Europe to join Real Madrid in the Europa League?

I like the optimism MK, but you're jumping the gun a little there lad. Still 28 games to go in the league.

I was replied too as being paranoid for mentioning the salah Barcelona thing also Madrid wanted him and paul merson spouting out in press salah looked unhappy, but ed 02 has been telling us for a long time salah and his agent flirting with the club's mentioned and we have seen this thing before with coutihno, Suarez, mascerano, Alonso etc so nothing surprises me with players loyalty too staying with us.

Will be surprised if Barcelona can afford Salah this summer.

Maybe they will offer Suarez and Coutinho in part exchange but I don’t see us going for that.

Barca have some rebuilding to do.

Think both Barcelona and Madrid see several EPL clubs coming up fast and Champions League maybe between Juve LFC and Citeh over the next couple of seasons with Chelski back in the frame next year.

Don't worry about it Hailstones, some people do overreact when you mention a star player could leave the club. You and TOM27 only mentioned you read a newspaper article.
None of us can say for certain that Salah, Mane, Firminho etc will be Liverpool players next season. The better they play the more stories we will see of Barca, Real, Psg looking to buy them. The 2 spanish are allegedly the dream for nearly every player, for whatever reason.

ed002 do you see it getting harder for to many big galactico signing now with the price of players madrid need a few new signings and to take the best players of teams now would mean one hell of a summer spending spree. I do think the Neymar transfer caused a bit of a merry go round of transfers that has set a bit of a president that can't be kept going. soon there has to be a breaking point.

Grino75, there are no signs of it stopping just yet. When you look beyond the insane £100m marks, the actual cost in percentage of revenue, cost of players (even the insane ones) are on average less than before.
Pogba was in reality cheaper for United than Veron was, based on percentage of revenue.

The revenue is still on a rise, albeit especially in the Premiership. But as long as revenue keeps rising, and the money made in Europe are increasing. the transfer fees will follow.

But to reply to the top one. I believe Salah is a great player, in so many ways, and will be hard if not impossible to replace if he leaves.
Yet, people seem to forget that Klopp have altered his attack to maximize Salahs effect. Adding another top quality, yet cheaper player, I trust in Klopp to adjust again. and it will be like CoutinWho. We didn't really miss him after the fact.

Just my two cents for the eds to blow wide open :)

{Ed002's Note - "Percentage of revenue" is of no relevance and comparisons between the likes of Veron and Pogba are of no relevance.}

Of course he'll go, it's the owners Modus operandi. Why do you all torture yourselves, even though the coutinho money helped fund the last few windows, they'll still be mortified to have spent a hell of a lot more than they ever envisaged even tough it's a fraction of city and united's spend. Oh and they'll take nowhere near £200 million for him, if they can get anywhere near the couthinho money, BANG he's gone.
