My first post was correct about Alisson and that the board changed their options after the Champions League final to bring in a stronger alternative than Butland.

But I have some new info I heard this morning - if the sales of Mignolet and Karius happen then Liverpool will look to add Tim Krul as our back up keeper. Krul is now a free agent so can be bought in after the end of the window, so Liverpool have until the close of the European Window to offload both Mignolet and Karius.

Not that shirt numbers drive transfers, but in this world do mean something to the players - expect Fabinho to take Mignolet's 22 and Alisson to take Karius' 1 if both are sold by the end of the week. Otherwise they will settle with number 3 and 13 respectively for this season only.

A recent rumour occurred that Liverpool were listening to offers for Clyne, but this was all hearsay as Fabinho use to play in the number 2.

My sincere apologies, I certainly did mess up the information that was given to me.

I was told that we would be looking at a keeper like Krul who was a free agent with Prem experience as back up. I took it he meant Krul.

Feel like a right tool, sorry folks.

Let’s hope they get the back-up keeper situation resolved quickly.

Nobody said anything nasty I think they were just jesting as Krul signed for Norwich a couple of weeks ago.

Ross would be solid. Decent keeper, happy to be backup, happy to help the younger keepers out, unlikely to ask for ridiculously high wages. Would be a solid deal.
