Good afternoon Redmen,

Hope you are all keeping well.
It was another relatively straightforward victory at the weekend which was nice to see.
We look so much more composed in defence Since Karius has come in for Migs and VVD has joined. Not perfect, but much better.

Awoniyi has had a great personal season at RSM and this continued at the weekend as he scored in their 5-3 defeat to Anderlecht. Awoniyi now has 8 goals and 6 assists to his name which is not a bad return for a club fighting relegation in the Belgium top division.

On the winning side of the 5-3 encounter was Markovic as he made his debut for Anderlecht. Reports say he didn't offer much but it was pleasing to see him get his first run out.

Another loanee making his debut was Flanaghan at Bolton. On at CB for the final 20 minutes Flannaghan helped Bolton keep a clean sheet in their 0-0 draw with Norwich.

Two more reds faced each other at the weekend as Kent's Bristol played Grujic's Cardiff.
However the two promising reds starlets found themselves on the bench!
Grujic was an unused sub whilst Kent got a 20 minute run out.
Cardiff won the game 1-0 as they pulled away from the chasing pack in second spot.

Another sub but for different reasons was Ojo. Returning from a 6 game injury Ojo came off the bench with 20 minutes left as Fulham beat league leaders Wolves.

Whelan made his 5th start in a row for Yeovil at RB as they lost 1-0 to Carlisle. Despite the reuslt it is good to see him getting regular game time.

Virtue played one pass as he came on in the 93rd minute of Notts 1-0 defeat to Cambridge.

Origi was given the nod as the main striker in Bruno Labbadia's first game in charge. However the loanee done little to suggest that the role was his to keep giving an disappointing display in their 1-1 draw with Mainz.

Chirivella played the full 90 AS Willem II got a crucial 1-0 win at home to Roda JC.
Chirivella has been in the heart of their midfield all season and must be getting some great experience.

Allan returned to the starting line up and was extremely impressive as they beat Ethnikos 4-1. The battle for top spot continues.

Arroyo's unbeaten start to life in Mallorca B's continued as they won 1-0 against Alcudia.

Keita, Sturridge, Wilson and Ejaria all missed the weekends action due to injuries

And that's your lot.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Awoniyi, hope he gets a call up for some of Nigeria's friendlies, maybe it could help with a work permit in the future.

Good work Carra
From all of our loanees who if any do people think stand the best chance of making any sort of impact in the 1st team squad.
Personally although klopp might give anyone who's good enough the chance no matter what age, I see it as difficult as ever for any of them getting in with the quality we now have. Possibly those who will were kept at the club. Ie gomez, Trent woodburn. Grujic might but it's clear we will look to add another and ojo has shown glimpses but he's a hell of a lot of competition.

Chirivella is highly thought of and having a very good season on loan. He could find himself in and around the main squad in the next few seasons if his progress continues.

Cheers carra great update and it is good to see some of them getting at least a 20 minute run out.

Although, I can’t believe you spelt Flano's name wrong both times ;_; there is no 'h' ;) haha.
