Good chance.

Yes I agree with you eds on that one then i supose people will say we will get vvd. Ketia would have been nice but I think the defence needs sorting full backs and cente back I'm my opinion.

Robertson is nailed on if we don't get out first choice target. He is a small money transfer. Kieta is the player Klopp wants and I expect the club to strike a deal.

There is zero chance of signing keita. Move on.

5.) 04 Jul 2017

I will bet anyone that he'Lloyd be playing for us this season. It's just not a quick transfer.

6.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 12:05:45
Not at all sure there is zero chance of signing Keita, I suspect a deal is quite possible.

Keita is happening.

8.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 12:29:50
Surely we are wasting our time chasing Keita with there owners stance that he is not for sale!

{Ed002's Note - Having unsettled and tapped-up the player Liverpool are hoping he will try and force an exit so the can buy him on the cheap. RBL have not changed their position at this time. Liverpool has not made any approach to his club nor made any offer for him at all.}

04 Jul 2017 13:01:26
Cheers ed. No chance we are getting him on the cheap from what I have read. Also think everyone stating player wants to come to us are just guessing and Keita himself might well be happy to stay put. Liverpool either need to put the required bid in or leave the player alone.

{Ed002's Note - That is what Liverpool are looking to do - unsettle him, tap him up, get him to request a transfer to Liverpool. There is no "required bid". Liverpool may well make an offer yet. We will see. It is yet again very embarrassing for Liverpool and Klopp in particular.}

I for one feel embarrassed how we have tapped players us, unsettled them and made enemies with their current clubs. We are Liverpool FC, we have a huge and successful history and players should want to play for us. We don't have to tap them up and upset others, it makes us a laughing stock. I think Klopp needs to stop trying to be everyone's friend and step back from any transfer dealings. We have members on the board to do this on the club and his behalf.

Baz.

{Ed002's Note - I completely agree Baz.}

I agree with that ed. Very embarrassing indeed. What would be even worse imo if after all this we did not even put a bid in, having unsettled the player.

I think fsg need to step in an take some action. I know they don't know much about football but come on these r ment to be business men with a good image.

13.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 14:29:38
Ed I no you don't like talking money but is the rumoured 70M€ accurate?

{Ed002's Note - For a player they don't wish to sell? I am not aware of RBL putting a price on the player - but certainly that should be far enough beyond his worth to keep sides away.}

14.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 14:37:50
Surely if we just contacted the club we wish to buy from first and placed a bid they, or the agent would then inform the player of our bid and if the player was so keen to join us as many say VVD is then we could move along with some civil negotiations. Whereas our current method of doing things achieves the same result of the player knowing of our interest but gets the selling clubs back up, resulting in them telling us to pay over the odds or get bent. This just seems like sheer stupidity to me.

Ok mate thank you. That figure was just what I have read. No way we would stretch our finances that far. All points to it not happening I guess.

I don't want to sound ungrateful, salah is a great signing. If we miss out on vvd and kieta, along with mendy and sessegnon will this window be a disaster? We seem to be messing up all top targets. I thought this window would be our most significant for some time and time is ticking all way and still no cb lb dcm RB gk or st.

If you're going to say LFC tapped up Keita, please do provide some proof or else it's just smoke coming out of an ass.

18.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 17:11:46
dwarfonaboat. Why do you need proof? Although you might well get it if LFC get a transfer ban. I would not doubt Ed002 for one second, he is rarely wrong whether we like it or not.

19.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 18:11:08
Innocent until proven guilty! A player is not 'tapped up' until the club have been found guilty of the offense. Isn't that the logic in every other walk of life 😇😂.

20.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 19:37:30
Dwarf, the player has been tapped up, end of. Why? Cos Ed02 said so and they are the ones with the right info and that is that. If you have any info to disprove this, please share as the burden of disproof iis on you, not on the Ed's.

21.) 04 Jul 2017
04 Jul 2017 20:57:56
Seriously, the club needs to sort its self out regarding transfers. We're a joke in the market and we're upsetting just about club that produces or has hold of any talent. It's really really stupid and frustrating.

Not meaning to sound a arse but Liverpool are no more guilty of tapping up than any other clubs.
LFC have not been charged with this and there is as much tapping up going on as when we lost Saurez, Torres, MACHARANO, Alonso to name a few.
And as for VVD situ I'm sure Celtic appreciate the way Southampton unsettled VVD, Waynama AND forster.

{Ed025's Note - im afraid your kidding yourself phil..
