Of the rumoured players the best summer would be:

Pereira, sessegnon (being loaned) Keita, Luan and brandt with sturridge staying and origi going on loan. With a clear out of unwanted players. Solid team with depth!

Origi on loan? Whatever for? The boy needs to either be playing regularly, either as an often used sub or starter, or he needs to be moved on. A loan does not help him now. He needs to be allowed to grow at our level, or moved on for his own career.

I agree with Adz28.

Origi has already been out on loan before, for Lille. There is no point doing it again.

Personally, I believe Origi will come good, has all the physical attributes required to be a very good striker. He just needs to work on certain things in training with the coaches and find some consistency. Origi is a talented boy but I suspect even he doesn't know what style of striker he wants to be. Is he more suited to a poacher like striker, hold up, false nine or perhaps a more complete striker who can do a little of everything. Right now, Origi does not know how to compliment the teams style. Needs time but.

Because he needs to play regularly in his preferred role (cf) . The big problem with his game is actual experience and regular games, he ATM 3rd choice. Although he can play wide he is a striker and his only chance to learn the role is on loan. Although he could dislodge them he would need sturridge and firmino to lose their place. We have important games and we want to win trophies, so klopp will probably start him in cup games. think he'd be better going on loan to a team that could start him regularly.

I don't think it's such a bad idea. He's still young and learning. I think it'd be ok if it was a PL club. Look what a loan move did for Lukaku. It's about finding the right team and manager.

He was first pick in the Europe league before he got injured. Origi has work on a lot of things this year he now can hold the ball up when Klopp first come in can anyone remember how many times he was losing the ball.

Origi for me should stay at this club he will get his chance next season.

So who do we loan him out to then? Another Premier League team, thus bolstering their capabilities, whilst diminishing our squad? Or a foreign team, so that the experience he gets has no real benefit to him for playing in the premier league? He is best to stay with us, train with us, win his place in the team. If he can't, then we should move him on. Klopp has preferred him over Sturridge for a lot of this season, even when Sturridge was fit. I think he can grow to become a really useful player for us, but it needs to be with us, week in week out. Loan is pointless now.

Ok but how many goals has he scored? That's what he's supposed to do. I just think a loan move might help him develop faster. Right now it's a bit stop start. I think other players have taken time to make more of an impact.

Back end of last season he really made improvements and I thought he would turn out to be a good player after initially looking poor but he just hasn't kicked on this season and he's now played over 100 first team matches so he has had plenty of time to develop.
I'd say this season is make or break for him, if a decent offer came in for him I would personally sell (probably make a good profit) or if not he has to establish himself as a starter. I hope he can kick on but I'm not holding my breath.

{Ed025's Note - impact sub at best for me craig..

Origi has played an important role in a squad that has got champions league football hopefully next year.

I think and hope he will have a bigger role in each further season that he stays with us.

He may not reach his peak for another 5 years.

There are a few on here who are very negative towards Origi but can't answer when asked what other forward at the club could play the role asked of Origi this season. To hold the ball up and lay it off.
