How did Rodgers make such a shocking call? Anybody with at least one eye could see from about 18 years old that he was special.

Absolutely terrible decision. Up their with Chelsea letting De Bruyne go and United letting Pique leave.

Always liked Suso but he's 23/ 24?now and would he get in our side? and is not being assured of regular starts the reason he wanted to leave in the first place?

Always wondered if he pissed Rodgers off or something, ATM not the biggest mistake in football letting him go but the fact he never got a look in while at anfield is truly shocking. Especially considering who played for the first time during his tenure.

Brendaned? Anyways, for me suso was a slower weaker coutinho. Had the same smarts, vision etc. But it was always going to be difficult for him to develop in the prem being so lightweight. Not saying he needed to be afikenwa lol but he just seemed to struggle to impose himself on the pitch. But! And there is always a but! He might have got there with time as always, unfortunately wpuld ya'll have been ok riding the ups and downs along the way? Doubt it.

He never got the chance. Many don't in the premier league. If you think of all the good young players we have now. Maybe 1 or 2 will make it with us. The rest may well move on and have great careers elsewhere. It's the way of the modern game.
Fans have about 5 first team players lined up for this summer. Taking your own players spot in the team. If we signed nobody there would be an outcry.
I'll agree there needs to be better planning for the youth teams etc. But us fans won't wait for a player to develop. You only need to read what's said about Emre or origi if they have an off game. Sad, but it's the way of the modern game.

As Supermane96 has said no, he is playing in a much slower league, if he was in the premier league I'd be wondering why he wasn't looked after better, but he isn't and probably never will be.

What needs to improve in respect to Liverpool Academy is better management including a massive improvement in our loaning system, which were starting to see I think. We all take pot shots at Chelsea's revolving doors with the academy prospects (lukaku) but they contiunally getting results even if they have to buy them back from time to time.

{Ed001's Note - they are continually getting results by spending obscene amounts of money on players when they have plenty of quality players out on loan they could have used. Their system is not working when they had to go out and buy Luiz rather than using Christensen who they already had. Their loan system is as haphazard and useless as all loan systems are. None of them work, they are just a way of ruining the competitiveness of football by hoarding the best players. Chelsea are the worst culprits of abusing the loan system. They are not an example to follow, they are an example of why the loan system needs to be scrapped or, at the very least, amended to stop clubs like them hoarding youngsters.}

Youngsters who want playing time but can't get it at LFC should be let go. Set a reasonable price, part ways while still on speaking terms, open up for the possibility of a return later, should everything fall into place. Best for the club, best for the player.
Suso was never going to evolve into a worldbeater playing for the u23 team, or by a loan spell at Huddersfield.
