Liverpool are tracking Freiburg's attacking midfielder, Vincenzo Grifo.
Grifo has scored 14 goals and has 15 assists. He is a set piece specialist with half of his goals coming from direct free kicks.
Klopp had his scouts attended for the second division games last season.
