Have heard that Isak and Adeyemi @ Dortmund are the 2 players that are the number one priorities this summer.

Would gladly take both along Huijsen, but don’t see us paying huge money for Isak.

It's Hughes. There's not a chance of any deal being done with that muppet .

Give it a rest will you Harry. Are you going to hijack every rumour on this rumours site until next summer with rude comments about a LFC employee? For all we know Slot didn’t want to upset team harmony by bringing players in. The situation has been explained to you numerous times. Hughes has proven he can sign players at Bournemouth. The joke is wearing very very thin.

Did Hughes bully you as a child nomid? Or is he your Stepdad? You really hate him don’t you?!

Any info on Doak? Although he is injured just now, he's had a very good loan. I was surprised by the rumours that the club was open to selling. Any further info on if he'll be given a chance to earn his place on return or if the club is looking to sell? Thanks.

He’s had an ok loan. Nothing special.

He has 3 goals and 7 assists in 24 appearances in Middlesbrough this season. It may not seem like a lot but he is still only 19 and is playing his first full season of senior football so I think that's a decent return. He's also apparently one of their best players so I think the loan has been going quite well for him.

Sounds like we’re in for a massive overhaul of our forward line!

Seems like we should expect Diaz, Nunez and Jota to all leave as well as potentially Salah given the continuous lack of signing (although if rumours are true and they are holding back until end of season for Trent maybe it’s fine)

12 Feb 2025 12:21:19
Diaz lacks end product
Jota is made of biscuits
And Nunez it just hasn’t worked out for him but out the 3 he would be the one I’d keep as he never lacks effort .

All 3 if we are honest can be upgraded.

I'm not sure we should 'expect' them to leave. It's possible that any of the 4 may leave but with the exception of Mo it will only be if the right offer comes in and the right replacement is available.

We should be replacing them 1-2 at a time, giving the replacement time to bed in, and keep the continuity.

If Gakpo / Chiesa stays
Salah? / Diaz / Nunez / Jota leave

Replacing 3-4 of them at 1 go? Honesty I have no confidence in Hughes / the club to pull it off.

My worry is that we will let 3-4 go and only bring in 1-2 players. that will reduce our depth from 6 to 4.

Even if we win the league / CL this season, we should be strengthening from a position of strength, instead of overhauling the whole team, considering we will definitely need reinforcement in LB, DM, CB and potentially RB if Trent leave. That makes it 7-8 players required.

We should be looking at 2-3 top class players each season at maximum, players that can come in and really challenge for the 1st eleven, so that current players are being kept on their toes.

Why would you not have any confidence in Hughes/ club not pulling it off. LFC are considered one of the best teams in Europe and a few days ago fans on here were worried about meeting Bournemouth a team Hughes was instrumental in assembling.

Wirralean - my main worry wouldn’t actually be with Hughes himself (has in past shown the ability to uncover a gem ) more I don’t think financially we can compete for the absolutely top 1% of players. Aside from getting a player who can step up a level or two, the “bigger” names like Gyokeres, Retegui, Wirtz, Bastoni, or even N Williams (who I personally don’t rate) would have wage offers far above what I think they club would be willing to offer, and that’s IF they were open to moving.

Mean could get in perhaps more players on lower wages who potentially could improve or flourish in Slot’s system - but if did have to bring in say 3-5 if we can’t renew contracts would be a worry…. but I would have never predicted our season so far so wouldn’t be at all surprised if made us better.

Wirralean - Finally someone with some sense.

Before we decide to get rid of most of our forwards don’t we need a CDM, a (L) CB and a LB. If Mo goes we need a starter to play on the right side of the forward three and then we could look at replacing Jota and / or Nunez.

Worst case, we need to bring six starters into the first team squad ……. Would all those who think FSG don’t spend money and that Hughes doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing like to join in …. ‘Oh no we won’t’.

I'd not be too upset if Diaz left, he offers next to nothing. I always thought of him as Sadio Manes replacement but he couldn't tie Sadios boots, no where near the same output in any respect.
Unfortunately i don't trust Hughes' ability to competently replace any of them either.

Apparently our CB shortlist is Hanko, Hato and Huijsen.

I'm wondering if it is a much longer list arranged alphabetically and somebody caught a glimpse of the top of it. (It would rule out Geuhi which would please some on here)

11 Feb 2025 15:57:40
Perhaps he was bottom of the list on the previous page?

11 Feb 2025 16:02:55
So we're targeting people who's name starts with H.

 1

11 Feb 2025 16:34:51
Huijsen would be my pick.

11 Feb 2025 16:57:08
I see Hato as our lb option who could cover CB.

 11

11 Feb 2025 17:40:49
Would be Hato for me as well.

11 Feb 2025 18:01:40
Doubt any of them will be signed .

11 Feb 2025 18:20:59
Just buy Bournemouth then Huijsen, kerkez and semenyo.

11 Feb 2025 23:28:07
Which one is the cheapest? That’ll be the one.

teasing us to put a hat on all fans, I guess.

Like our keeper and our captain were. Give it a rest @Klopp4.

12 Feb 2025 08:19:36
Surprised that Hincapié was not on the list.

The 'H' tactic has worked well in the past with Hyypia, Henchoz, Hansen and Hughes!

 1

12 Feb 2025 09:31:47
Han Dyke has been a success.

12 Feb 2025 14:55:33
Whoever it is, I hope it's not as anti-clumactic as Buckles being revealed as "H".

{Ed025's Note - that ruined Line of Duty for me PD, the fist 5 series were excellent but having Buckles as H was like having Keita in your team mate.. :)

Do you think it is a cunning plan thought up by Hughes? It’s possible there’s a link in there somewhere.

 0

11 Feb 2025 12:19:49
We're being linked with Mohamed-Ali Cho.

I've never heard of the guy but he used to be a Toffee. Any insights Ed25?

{Ed025's Note - never heard of him mate..

11 Feb 2025 23:25:59
Could be a real knock out signing. Heard he punches above his weight. Gloves are off if we get him. Etc.

I see a report stating Nunez missed training to attend the birth of his child in Spain. Anyone know if this information is correct and why Spain? Just curious. Congrats to him.

 2

11 Feb 2025 13:25:38
Slot seemed to have confirmed that Nunez was given time off so it may be true. And his wife is Spanish so I guess she wanted to give birth in her native country.

Well congratulations to Mr&Mrs Darwin🥳 I hope that the baby is fit, healthy and has a better shot than the Da👍😁.

 9

11 Feb 2025 14:51:55
He's already fired his best shot ever!

Jokes aside that hopefully finally "sets off " the absolute monster that Darwin can be at LFC, "family life" means he can now relax a bit more, and confidence wise as well, ye never know perhaps this is the spark he needs.

Had my ex work colleagues meet in MOs Liverpool Town Centre yesterday afternoon, all the Evertonians were asking how was me "Plymouth Argyles" (Piles! ) not as bad as yours will be Thursday Morning?

 4

11 Feb 2025 15:12:45
Congratulations to both. Does that mean Darwin isn’t available tomorrow?

 1

11 Feb 2025 15:22:11
Congrats to the lads family, hope all went well.

11 Feb 2025 15:23:33
Before the Plymouth game JK23 :)

11 Feb 2025 15:25:13
They already have a son and he has a step daughter.

This is his 2nd child with his partner Lorena.

11 Feb 2025 15:26:26
I thought Slot was saying that the birth was before the Plymouth game which is why he didn't play much in that game. I thought he mentioned it when talking about the fact that Curtis was meant to start the game but fell ill and Gomez was meant to play an hour but only lasted 10 minutes?

12 Feb 2025 11:39:59
At least he can score in the bedroom.
