I think it would be in the news by now if he was in hospital having an op. And if he did have appendicitis I would have thought he would have had it done Saturday I might be wrong but donāt they do that op nearly straight away.

Can only speak for myself but my appendix was removed the same night. Although I did leave the pain for some days before deciding to go to the GP. Quick examination and the GP was calling my local hospital. Made my way to the hospital and was operated on that night. If he had bad appendicitis, he would have been operated on over the weekend so very much doubt the news is correct. Plus it would have been in the media by now.

Question for the eds. Reports surfacing or resurfacing of some potential investment and linking up on some way shape or form with toulouse. Not the Billy bean guy but someone else that wants to invest in European clubs. Apparently the deal could be done in a couple months. Bullsssst or real deal?
Believable0
0Unbelievable
{Ed002's Note - It is the samething without Billy Beane and all of his money. Redbird is the remnants of the Redball investment company that Gerry Cardinale and Billy Beane (a self-confessed Liverpool supporter who owns much of the Oakland As and is the "moneyball" guru) set up last year to buy 20% of FSG (not of Liverpool per se, but of all FSC assets - so part of Liverpool, the Red Sox, the racing business etc.). Whilst they had raised circa Ā£400M through a public offering they could not raise the further Ā£700M required to make that happen. At this point Billy Beane stepped away leaving Cardinale and his Redbird investment company that he used as a vehicle to buy Toulouse (and appoint Damien Comolli as their Chairman). Whilst FSG would like an investor to sell part of Liverpool to (particularly given their major financial issues at the moment), it is questionable whether any of the high-profile expensive EPL sides has the growth potential of other sides across Europe meaning that a merger-like solution would suit everyone best. Clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea will see growth potential flatten out whilst the chance of growth remains elsewhere - and remember these folks are investing other people's money - not their own. As such Cardinale has a plan to slowly merge with FSG rather than simply invest in it ā his vision being creating another City Group or Red Bull type set up. Noteworthy is that the former Premier League chair Richard Scudamore joined the board of the now shelved Billy Beane RedBall Acquisition Corporation and he has been giving advice. At that point they were looking for investment funds to go beyond a merger and look to buy a decent club in mainland Europe or the lower end of the Premier League as well ā that idea is shelved for now.}

Thanks Ed. Hope it goes through and at least some funds are made avaliable for improving the squad. Would this link up help us commercially? I'm sure the big clubs are always trying to find new ways to squeeze more money into the clubs.

Hi ed. what do you think about florian neuhaus of moenchengladbach? Do you know which player that liverpool has been scouted for gini's replacement mate? Thank you.
Believable1
0Unbelievable
{Ed002's Note - Florian Neuhaus (CM) There remains significant interest in the Borussia Muenchengladbach player with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund seeing him as a player who will continue to improve. Real Madrid see him as an option in midfield and his representative has made no secret that there has been interest from elsewhere including Manchester City, Spurs, Juventus and the Milanese clubs, but Milan seems a less likely destination. Borussia Dortmund would have pushed hard for him but they have growing money issues and the arrival of Rose will likely mean they will look elsewhere. As I have previously explained, Liverpool have spoken to Bissouma's representatives or perhaps should look to Grujic instead.}
27 Feb 2021 10:52:50
Got a feeling Neuhaus might be this yearās Werner.

Thank you for answering my question about florian neuhaus ed. however, what is the consideration that lfc is still hoping to grujic? He don't respect his team mate as he mentioned Adrian after his under performance on his social media and Grujic also failed to become starting 11 player at Porto and hertha berlin. There are some players (one of them is Grujic) that lfc should sell at any price on summer to reduce wage bills and make financial healthier.
Agree1

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool proiced him out of a move for the past two years - hence the loans. I expect he will be available in the summer and one of the players sold to raise funds.}
01 Mar 2021 10:58:00
Ed002 - you mentioned contact with Bissoumaās representatives, has this been done with Brightonās blessing given the history of the club? It is looking likely the centre midfield will undergo changes possibly with Wijnaldum leaving is Bissouma the only target we are focused on.

{Ed002's Note - This was a while ago and I am pretty sure that Liverpool have not approached Brighton about Bissouma.}

24 Feb 2021 13:02:26
Every teams has been in same boat with regards less pre season. We can't use that as an excuse.
My own opinion is playing players out of their natural or main positions can lead to more chance of these incidents.

{Ed077's Note - and having less options to rest and rotate players have contributed to adding to the injury woes as well IMO.}
24 Feb 2021 13:05:28
exactly space and the more injuries you get, the more you rely on others to play more which increases their chances of getting an injury due to less rotation. Vicious cycle unfortunately.

I just found out a very interesting link that he has with LFC?
Believable0

{Ed002's Note - No. Andre Silva (S) was recommended to several clubs, certainly including Everton, Wolves and Manchester United, by a very high-end independent scout who used to play in the Premier League. This dates back to last summer before his loan became a permanent move. Atletico Madrid have declared an interest.}
