hey eds, question heard rodrigo and andre gomes were sold to Meriton Capital Limited from Benfice? I only ask as both were linked with Liverpool. This company I am guessing has bought out their ownership? How does this work?

(sorry if this is obvious as its 1 am over here and brain not work so good after being at work all day).

cheers fella

tristanlfc

{Ed002's Note - It is true that they have been sold to a third party. It is not out of the question they could end up at Valencia eventually. As for links to Liverpool, try the search engine.}

was at the training in brisbane tonight, was awesome seeing them up close and only 20 km from my house at a decent hour, not 4 am.

I know its just training but the difference in quality to the australian league is epic, passing drills were like ping pong.

hope to get over to anfield this year if not next, hoping for a great season ahead.
Loving the eds the last couple of days.

Hopefully Benteke gets flown over for the game tonight against bris roar!!

Hey, moving away from the rumours just had a story,

attended the sydney fc vs chelsea game on tuesday night with brother in law, just wanted to know what the atmosphere was like at stamford bridge?

For 85 thousand fans i have never seen a more dull crowd, the biggest cheers of the night were from pitch invaders and paper aeroplanes being thrown onto the field. what a boring lot they were, next to no singing either?

I got a photo with mourinho walking down darling harbour and he couldn't have been less interested in being in australia.
I asked him what he thought of Australia and he stopped looked me in the eyes and said " not much at all", he was with his assistant and he said "another photo, another photo" with disgust.

Just thought i'd share my experience with you all. The main thing that surprised me was that they were not handing out blue plastic flags to the fans.

Tristan

{Ed002's Note - I guess as a Chelsea fan you must be disappointed - I am not so sure why you are posting this on a Liverpool page?}

If he really did say that, then it's probably because he wasn't able to do many things. He was stuck in his hotel because every time he tried to go out somewhere, shopping for example, he got mobbed and had to go back to his hotel. Sydney harbour is great, but it just looking at it for a few days won't keep you entertained.

It is so rare for us Aussies to have quality players and managers out here. we sit and watch them from the other side of the world and get a bit awestruck. Bondi Beach was chaos when Paris Hilton visited - how sad is that?

3.) 04 Jun 2015 06:20:15
What about the Remy goal though. Shame he has a dodgy ticker, or could have banged a few in for us like that!!

4.) 04 Jun 2015 09:21:43
Dodgy ticker? I was under the impression it was BR who turned down Remy. i'm sure it was Ed001 that said something along those lines if I remember correctly.

1.) Got mine for Adelaide. Met Robbie, Jason Mac and Didi in Jan too. Good year this 2015.

2.) 17 Feb 2015 09:07:25
Clicked the 'refresh' button 200 times at 5am in the morning to get a presale ticket for Adelaide. i'm there!

3.) Ironically I'm back in the UK when they are here. Gutted.

4.) 17 Feb 2015 20:38:49

Hey eds, hope is well on your end.

New balance deal seems a bit strange as they are the parent group of warrior?

Just a different name on the shirt and money coming out of a different account but same executives?

Im not a big money tycoon like yourself so o don't think i understand.

tristanlfc

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing strange - just a change of name.}

1.) I know I'm probably not the first so I appologise but seen as though we've been good lately anychance of telling us what the new deal is worth please?

{Ed002's Note - They have not said any more that there is anything more than a "record" deal which means it is more than £20M per annum. It might well have a performance-based element to it.}

2.) . and an opportunity to release another range of home/away/third strip/European (if we're in it)etc etc shirts under the guise of a new contract. .

{Ed002's Note - It is a new contract.}

3.) Thanks Ed

4.) 05 Feb 2015 18:29:57
It's a free country, you're not obliged to purchase the shirts Marshy

5.) 20M a year is peanuts, compared to the Mancs £75 mill a year they get from their shirt sponsors

{Ed002's Note - It will be a lot more than £20M a year.}

6.) I don't Essex.

7.) 06 Feb 2015 05:06:51
Ed002, would you say Liverpool are making the right steps to reduce their financial problems, or are we treading on very thin ice?

I've read numerous times from yourself and others that we have significant debt again and just seeking some assurances that we're not going to end up like we did in 2010/11.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are doing very well commercially and that will only get better with the additional television money. The owners have someone pushing to sell naming rights which will, I am sure, happen at some point. All of this will push the business in to profit going forward, but the club will need to address the debt - which will increase with the work being done on the stadium.}

There was something very luis suarez about sterlings goal against chelsea. That turn and finish. Beautiful

tristanlfc

1.) He has worked on his finishing. truely it shows when you put in effort, you can improve. slowly but surely.

2.) Hi Kaizer.

I hear lying on a beach in Jamaica does wonders for your finishing.

If I was a PL striker - I'd be trying to convince my manager to get me a first-class ticket.

:)

3.) Reminded me more of an Owen goal. Took the ball wide and then placed in the diagonal corner.
