Hi Eds,

Firstly, thanks for all the continuing good work you do. It must be tough listening to all the endless questions that appear here and you each deserve a great deal of credit for taking the time to reply.

You've mentioned a few times that Rodger's interactions with the press have upset the club heirarchy quite abit. I'm just wondering if you could maybe shed a little more light on what he's saying that's causing problems?

I'm just not sure I understand the issue, is he just saying stupid things that the club would rather he remained silent about?

Many Thanks

Hi Eds,

Although it's almost certainly irrelevant at this point, I'm just wondering if it is still theoretically possible for Liverpool to reverse his decision & remain at the club?

I'm thinking specifically in terms of his pre-contract agreement with LA Galaxy and how water-tight that is.

As I say, I stongly doubt this will happen but I'm just interested in how reasonably possible it is.

Thanks

{Ed002's Note - He is going and has now stuck the knife in. Suck it up and move on.}

1.) Gerrard on why he chose LA Galaxy:

"I want to add some medals and trophies to my collection."

That's sticking the knife in.

2.) The MLS is Gerrards level now. All the best you WERE a great player but as the saying goes 'no player is bigger than the club' and this includes Stevie. LFC will go on and hopefully with a new manager next season we maybe even stronger

3.) 07 Jan 2015 17:39:48
Something has just pinged in my head there Sydney.

You made me think.

Many people are going on about Stevie and his medals, but aside from not winning the league, Stevie hasn't done too badly in my opinion.

4.) 07 Jan 2015 18:18:25
Make sure you don't slip on the way to achieving those medals.

5.) Just noticed something myself. Sydney has been missing for over a year ( whilst his team were doing badly) and hey presto, he pops up on our page again. Just bite the bullet lad and admit it. You love us more than your own team.

6.) 07 Jan 2015 18:54:27
Sadly Mr Gerrard has, for some reason decided to criticise the club that he has served for 17 years, and in return has reaped a very good financial remuneration.

The lad is nearly 35, no manager in any professional league, for any club, would be foolhardy enough to guarantee playing time to any player of that age.
He should have been honest to himself and the club that his incredible stamina was waning, and he would not be a guaranteed starter anymore.
So Mr Gerrard, what is the difference in a few months - you would have signed if you were offered a contract in the summer, but won't sign when it's offered a few months later.
However, I like many others on here hope he returns after his sojourn to the sun, in some capacity at the club, eventually maybe doing a King Kenny and become a future manager.

7.) If he were playing under Paisley he would have been gone 4 years ago.

8.) Wahay, Sydney's back! call off the search party.

Have United won a couple of games or something?

Tell us where you've been hiding Syd, as we're currently on the lookout for Daveyboyblue, who also seems to have deserted these pages recently. Haha.

9.) If SG did say that then, good riddance!

10.) I am upset that Gerrard is now sounding like a jilted lover.
He needs to button it in my opinion.
Love him to bits but it just sounds like moaning that he did not get the offer that he wanted.
I don't like his insinuation that he was no longer wanted at the club.
He has not done too badly by us as we have not too badly by having him.

Might as well tackle the question on everyone's mind, is El Nino coming back? Or is it even being explored as an option?

Hi, Love the site & I really appreciate all the hard work of all the Ed's!

I'm just wondering if any of the Ed's or Macca can shed some light on what we should make of John Henry apparently not attending a home game all season?

Is it just coincidental or does it betray something else?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - This has been explained before. We are not opening up again.}

I feel I may already know the answer to this - but would it be possible to shed some light on what Klopp said that caused friction with Amrabat's representatives? I appreciate this may be seen as unimportant but it's helpful in understanding how we behave behind closed doors.

theexplodingboy

{Ed002's Note - No, it is unimportant and done to death in January.}

Seriously folks? Suggesting that someone has misinterpreted a question and is perhaps being oversensitive is not abuse. Get a grip.

I'd imagine Roy is referring to the extremely well publicised physical nature of the game and the red card shown to a Sevilla player for a horror tackle on one of our players.

Just a guess though.

Hi Ed, is this a case of Klopp setting a clear example to the rest of the squad in terms of behavioral expectations or would it be fair to say there's a little more going on?

Obviously getting sent home from a pre-season tour is a serious matter but you'd be forgiven for thinking it didn't warrant selling the player.

Perhaps it was simply the final straw given the banned substance debacle etc?

theexplodingboy

{Ed001's Note - isn't enough that he is going? Klopp has made the decision and that is the important thing.}

While I'm pretty certain the answer to this is obvious, would it be fair to say that Rodgers is aware of this ongoing review process and perhaps been aware for quite some time that the writing is on the wall for him? I'm just curious as to how well known this is within the club and if that has had any impact on the field. For example, do the players know & has that affected them?

theexplodingboy

{Ed002's Note - There have been numerous changes as a result of this already and Rodgers has spoken of his fears earlier in the season. Like everything else, done to death. The players will be unaffected. They are not the brightest bunch remember.}
