i have just read in an online news site that glen johnston is not willing to sign a new Liverpool contract and arsene wenger is interested!.now I know the french like to collect their onions but surely this "red onion" has as more chance of dressing a burger than joining arsenal, defo a rumour to far, or more like a red herring

the weird thing is, when lfc where in their hay day other supporters didn't mind . apart from the mancs. but when mufc where ruling the roost everyone hated them, strangely nobody minds the mancs at present . but other supporters seem to dislike LFC, why is this?.

the word

1.) Because of the reputation associated with the club. As Liverpool fans still celebrate their past successes, they hate this, as they think it's delusional, and because they can't boast about the same achievements themselves. Plus, we are the so called best fans in the world, so we have made a name for ourselves throughout the world as the best fans in England, other fans would be bias and think they have the best fanbase and start to reject us. The fact that most pundits and media, and pro Liverpool rather than anti Liverpool, other fans would hate this. Finally, we achieved our success in the proper manner, and we remind the money teams that they will never be able to achieve this feat. Kind of like a women with natural beauty compared to a women with make up beauty.

I would call a majority of them haters, but a lot of them just dislike us because we sometimes think we have a divine right to be involved in certain conversations like winning the title Etc. However, the ridiculous notion that we are no longer a big club is nonsense. Whenever I go to a foreign country, they know Liverpool and UTD, that's about it, unless they are avid football fans. That is saying something.

2.) The word.
That simply is not true.
Any team with success for a sustained period starts to become disliked because it becomes a bit of a monopoly.
And because Liverpool's successful period lasted two decades (same with United) they become disliked more than most.
I started supporting Liverpool in the late 1980's and believe me, we were definitely hated due to our success by other clubs.

3.) Word, how did your boys do last week? ;)

4.) What can I say, boys? I guess, "They Hate Us because They AIN`T Us". Look, LFC will always be a big club REGARDLESS of our standing, held in the same breathe as Barca, Bayern, Ajax, Juventus, Milan, Utd, RM, Marseilles, PSG, BVB, Inter, and Arsenal.

i wonder if opposition managers will start targeting sahko, obviously the defenders have been told to play the ball out of defence but sahko, s pass selection is poor and if put under pressure he panics and is prone to howlers, btw he has been doing it all season

the word

{Ed001's Note - if he did panic, he would hoof the ball out of play and there would be no issue, other than people moaning about him hoofing it out of play. The issue is a lack of options in front of him. There is not enough movement when the back 3 are put under pressure. The set up of 3 at the back is meant to leave one of them free to receive the ball and relieve any pressure when passing around at the back. The problem comes when they are all under pressure, there is no out ball so defenders are in trouble. When they played it back to Mignolet, he messed up his kick, as always, and the ball ended up being gifted back to the opposition, so that option is a last resort. The reason Sakho is suffering the most is because both Coutinho and Moreno are blocking space in front of him, bringing more defenders over that side closing off passing avenues. When Can gets it, Markovic is usually running into space in front of him as Gerrard was staying central, creating a gap in front of Can to move forward, or to play the ball into. It is a problem with the set up, if Coutinho drifts out wide Moreno has to move inside when Sakho receives the ball. There has to be movement, instead of players stood still in front of him, creating space and options.}

1.) Great answer and explanation Ed. Just spot on

{Ed001's Note - thank you.}

2.) Skertel is very weak on the ball imagine having Agger there instead agger can sakho not so bad

3.) Beautifully put ed01, i by far feel sakho is our safest defender . he shields the ball well too.

4.) It's been one of our biggest problems all year. No movement.

Whether in the midfield, or the final third, movement is at a minimum. especially against lower placed opposition. I'll put it down to lack of experience/time at club; but it's time there was more effort, and intelligence shown in finding space.

5.) Sahko is our best defender, period! He has had one bad game in 7 games YET he is rubbish because he had an average game. PATHETIC!

6.) Thats your opinion redohio, it is not evrybody else's opinion so no not period and do you have to use insults PATHETIC! Remember what this page is about, who are you to tell everybody that they are wrong and you are right, are you right about everything? if yes then why are you posting on here and not in the dugout at Anfield?

it could be worse, raheem stirling might come out in the 2nd half of your next CL game wearing a real madrid shirt lol, with the deadwood brenda purchased, its going to be hard watching lfc once a week never mind twice, luckily that doesn't look like it will last long

its a funny old world, a lot of people thought liverpool where doing good business by paying 40 odd million to southampton for 3 players.now it seems the saints where in fact getting rid of their "deadwood" normal service has been resumed "lfc paying over the odds"

that young arsenal right back scored one like that against liverpool,and i would hardly call him world class,you obviously don't read the news,or you would have looked up and seen lionel stirling floating past,then you would realized why he gets so much stick on this page

redohio,lol,you slag of arsenal calling them a laughing stock who will never win the prem or CL,and then you say 4th is nothing for a club of liverpools stature as you have dominated european and english football for almost 2 decades,i don't know if its your delusional red tinted glasses your wearing again or if its the medication,but the last time i checked it was 25 years since liverpool dominated anything,this is exactly why people poke fun at liverpool supporters

why was it always going to be a difficult game? the players should be chomping at the bit to get out there and put right what has been undone in the last couple of weeks and book themselves a place in the semi,s,and boy did they make hard work of it,against an average championship squad,liverpool won't get past villa playing like that
