Hi fellow reds and eds

Now that's the liverpool team I want to see. And a good subs bench. Feeling optimistic about tonight. Come on the pool 😊

Agreed, our strongest except mane for can under normal circumstances

2.) 31 Jan 2017 19:40:27
Disappointed to se Lallana on a wing. Doesn't work for him there and he has been great at CM. Rather have Origi, Moreno or even Can on RW. Can can't mess up that bad, and might actually do some good with his runs from that position.

3.) 31 Jan 2017 19:49:10
Unfortunately Clyne's back and Lallana should be in midfield for Can with Ojo/ Wilson up front for Lallana.

4.) 01 Feb 2017 00:35:30
1-1 all over ut

5.) 01 Feb 2017 06:49:20
Iam sorry but please tell me what exactly did we except Can to do playing against Ngalo and Matic not mention he must still cover for the wing backs who will drift in while the opposite flank is attacking and will turn a back 3 while defending and Can has to add numbers. Gosh we really tend to be so harsh on our players at times

I am to be honest gutted mamadou sakho is going. Yes he has done wrong. Just wish klopp and sakho sat down and properly discussed and sorted issues out. He was I would say our best defender. Look at payet refused to play until he went. Sakho was willing and insisted he didn't want to go and would do anything to make it right. Will be a loss. I know many will disagree.

I am gutted too because I think him and matip would have been the perfect partnership but I think Klopp wanted to make an example of him to the other players, if you are late for training and act the fool you are out the door.

2.) 31 Jan 2017 12:59:04
Not such a great example when it costs us points imo.

3.) 31 Jan 2017 13:44:23
Sakho is a true warrior on the pitch. He plays ball with passion but his heading, decision making and off field antics leave much to be desired. It's right to let him go. Klopp seems to have faith in Lovren and although he needs an excellent partner to shine his passing range, heading and physical strength is truly sublime on his day.

4.) 31 Jan 2017 14:54:26
As a huge Sahko fan, I`m actually not gutted to see him go. He is the architect of his won downfall and no matter how talented you are, that should never trump indiscipline, disrespect, unprofessionalism as well as insubordination. The prisoners should never be allowed to run the asylum. Rightfully, Klopp just showed who runs the playing side of the club and sent a message to the dressing room that if you do not conform to basic codes of conduct, you will be out the door.

5.) 31 Jan 2017 15:42:33
I'm on the other side of the globe so not fully across it. I know he stuffed up and has been punished for it (assuming that he gets matched related bonuses and obviously can't get them off not playing) . Does he have anyway of redemption though? If he's done so bad a thing then the contact should just get terminated maybe? If not then surely he deserves a chance to prove himself and put in the hard yards (if he hasn't fair enough to dump him) . Just a view from oz, feel free to enlighten me

{Ed002's Note - Klopp wants him gone. There is nothing else at all.}

Another 3 points. For the boys in red. Let's go into 2016 with the k lopp passion. Well done lads. Lovren and sakho pleasing at the moment.

You are deluded, they are playing terribly, and tonight epitomised what an uncoordinated bunch of individuals we currently have in the squad.
Take of the glasses (rose tinted)

2.) 31 Dec 2015 00:49:48
Agreed teeno. A solid away performance. Just need to build the consistency and confidence over the next few weeks.

3.) 31 Dec 2015 14:33:36
We are playing better under Klopp, we are much better in defence and also the players seem to look to have a bit more purpose about them.

Really you can't expect miracles Klopp hasn't been there that long and we have a very unbalanced team which doesn't offer much natural width.

We have a few players who really don't look up to scratch and a few who haven't quite settled and adjusted.

Klopp for me was the man for the job and in time it will come. We had 0 confidence when he took over and now climbing slowly up the table he will eventually have the players in the positions he wants and a nicely balanced team playing good football. Just give it time :)

Merry Xmas to all the eds and reds. Let's have a better 2nd part of the season. Onwards and upwards.

Hi eds. Hope your doing well. First off all macca is always spot on what a guy. And eds what's you thought on the big news. And do you see a a lot of outgoings with a lot off new coming in.

teeno1lpool

{Ed002's Note - I think the timing of the decision is rotten.}

1.) 04 Oct 2015 19:45:55
He really should've gone after the Stoke game which would've gave the new manager pre season and the transfer market to work with.

2.) 04 Oct 2015 19:48:47
Ed002 could you please explain why you think the timing is rotten when we now have a 2 week break for a new manger to get settled in and get to know the players etc etc, there is no better timing other than the end of the season

{Ed002's Note - It should have been done in the summer - there were a lot more options for the club to pick a new manager from, different choices could have been made about players arriving and the season could have panned out very differently.}

3.) 04 Oct 2015 19:49:15
Ed, I couldn't agree with you more. Henry and Carra's reaction and comments were also powerful, in my opinion. Carra genuinely seems concerned about the future of the club. I think what Henry said about the owners was very telling.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what either has said, sorry.}

4.) 04 Oct 2015 20:07:52
Personally I think they have made a big mistake - he should have gone last summer or he should have seen this season out.

I think FSG have jumped and are desperate to finish top four this season so have moved now whike the international break gives them a bit if a buffer and while a top four is realistically still attainable.

I think there is one more twist in the tale yet.

5.) 04 Oct 2015 20:08:51
Spot on ED002, Best post I've read in a very long time because it's so spot on.

6.) 04 Oct 2015 20:19:51
What Carra said was spot on. LFC have won 1 Carling cup in the last 10 years. We have become a small team who thinks they are a big team. What the owners want to do is buy youngsters, develop them and sell them on for a profit. In short a selling club

7.) 04 Oct 2015 20:47:33
Your last two sentences were Henry's point. I'm paraphrasing, but he said that, in his opinion, the owners don't really care about Liverpool FC.

{Ed002's Note - The owners are investors who care about the commercial aspects of the business a great deal. They have invested vast amounts of money in to the club.}

8.) 04 Oct 2015 20:55:16
Not saying it's correct, but could it be that the owners liked one of Klopp and or Ancellottin back in the summer but knew neither would take the post so soon?

Does seem the two most viable and available managers who are both high calibre were intent on having at least 4-5 months away to address things. Therefore they gave Rodgers to extra time but have now after discussions have been able to persuade one of them to join.

If Rodgers made a good start to the campaign then the owners reassess at Christmas, but since the season has started the way it has, they've seeked either one or both of them out. One of them must have said yes and therefore that's why he has gone today. In my opinion if one of them hadn't reached an agreement as yet Rodgers would still be there now.

{Ed002's Note - No, that would not have been the case.}
