I think lfc have really good players there and hopefully if and when a new manager comes in he'll play them in they're strongest position and I think we'll see lfc challenging for top 4 but it needs to happen really soon.

I think we have decent 7-8 players and a very good manager can get from them much more than BR. I don't think that a new manager will make all our squad top players just because he will play them 'in their positions' and I think expectations in this regard are unrealistic. My expectations from a new manager re the EL for example is to play there our strongest 11, yes even Surridge, rather than make the 11 that started on Thursday a top side.

I think the expectation is more that by playing the form players, in their right positions, a different manager will build a team that works as a team and that will be the biggest improvement. Other teams have shown you don't need 11 stars, just a few very good players with a well organised team.

My only interest would be that Klopp has more chance of bringing players to Liverpool from his previous club.

Watched the game tonight and seemed like lpool didn't much attacking flair about them but every time Bournemouth attacked they looked dangerous wide and through middle.

Why can't rogers go and table a 30 mill bid for wallcot. He'd suit us better than benteke

Walcott wil come For a lot cheaper. Y do you need to over bid?
Walcott still needs a system to play. The sole reason we are after Benteke is this guy is a monster and has a goal per game in him. He would bail out BR every time on the pitch.
There is no strategy in going after him and I don't see any change in tactics either. Clyne and Moreno will provide the width but we would still play through the middle with countinho and Firmino.
Benteke can shoot and shoot well from distance and inside the box.
He would be marked by defenders which will allow others into the game.

Our game at times will look ugly. But he will score goals and only that matters now.

because he's not worth 30million ?

3.) 14 Jul 2015 07:24:10
Why should we bid £30 million for an injury prone player with only a year left on his contract? Rodgers wants Benteke.

So ed what would your opinion be on bolasie

taffyred

{Ed030's Note - To sum it up, effective on the ball, not so effective of it. }

1.) 07 Jul 2015 08:40:21
Palace players reckon you get six amazing games a season from him and 30 distinctly average ones. At the prices quoted he's one to swerve. Babel on steroids.

{Ed001's Note - that is exactly how I would see him, I would add to Ed030's summary, effective sometimes on the ball, never effective off it.}

2.) 07 Jul 2015 09:17:00
Boom, You could just as well have been talking about Sterling

3.) 07 Jul 2015 09:21:28
That should read Palace fans!

I don't claim to know any Palace players (current ones at any rate!)

4.) 07 Jul 2015 10:08:07
He's a way too inconsistent to get a move to a top club. Apart from off the ball work as mentioned by the Eds above, the only consistency I see with him is consistently poor shooting.

06 Jul 2015 22:37:58
So lpool being linked with wide men again to cover sterling. What about bolasie from palace. he's ripped our defence apart so many times. Lightning speed which we haven't got.

Physically very good but lacks the technical ability I think. He is very direct though which is something we missed last season at times from our midfield

2.) 06 Jul 2015 23:25:37
He's ripped us as we was like tin foil with inept defensive strategy

3.) 07 Jul 2015 00:51:31
To be honest, Jason Puncheon ripped us apart at times as well for Crystal Palace.

4.) 06 Jul 2015 23:55:23
Bolasie is one player who makes it up as he goes along which at times works and at times, it doesn't. Inconsistent and not wanted.

5.) 07 Jul 2015 04:02:44
Every player with pace has ripped lovern in the past both at Liverpool and Southampton.

6.) 07 Jul 2015 12:28:50
Andy Carroll ripped us apart once too
