Hi eds, massive fan of this page, but only just registered an account aha. Got a little bit of a rumour gossip, thought I'd share. My cousins stepdads brother (long one I know aha) he's a physio at melwood Paul Squires. He was telling my cousins that a Benjamin Henrichs is being talked about quite abit amongst scouts. He's a fullback, thought I'd share anyway. Have a good day!

German international, Benjamin Henrichs? The one who signed a contract extension at Bayer Leverkusen last month?

2.) 22 Jun 2017 16:43:34
Like I mentioned, scouts are just talking about him. But yeah, the German International.

3.) 22 Jun 2017 18:47:00
Is he any use? . I've not seen him play at all.

4.) 22 Jun 2017 18:56:24
I don't know mate, think he's under 23 and first choice full back at Leverkusen. I don't know if there's any interest in him or that's he's just highly rated amongst our scouts. Any clarity eds?

5.) 22 Jun 2017 20:31:38
We'll sign his brother, jimi.

It'll be Sad to see phill go, but we always recover after loosing a star. Let's just hope the money goes on class and not Rickie Lambert :) :) :) :)

Redbutcher, and who do you suppose we get if we were so stupid enuff to let him go this summer at this time of the TW esp. since Barcelona are having difficulty signing Dembele now? The same thing happening to Barcelona with Dembele, will happen to us too if we were dumb enough to sell him. That is is what you and many others are missing.

2.) 11 Aug 2017 15:07:52
So, we keep a player who has no desire to be at the club anymore? When we could have 100mil? Even if we over pay on a player we have more than enough time to bring someone in. Stop panicking, let the lad go live his dream move. Klopp we have a list of players available to fill his void.

10 Aug 2017 13:24:17
Ed001- in the likely event Phill does go, could you see us bring Either Max Meyer or Manuel lanzini in as replacements?

redbutcher

{Ed001's Note - no idea mate.}

1.) 10 Aug 2017 17:05:09
Neityer are playmaker and I don't see a genuine reason to buy them!

02 Aug 2017 17:23:20
Ed002. realistically speaking is our window finished? Or is that an impossible thing to say? What's your opinion if you don't mind me asking.

redbutcher

{Ed002's Note - No the window is open another month.}

Brilliant watching us back in action. Can see a few new names getting added to our squad in terms of youth at last! Ryan Kent looked excellent his loan moves have helped shaped him, TAA looked fantastic, not sure if quite an upgrade on clyne yet but I'd like to see him play a lot more. As for Grujjic. why is this lad not week in week out. In my opinion, a midfield of Gruj, Wij and couts could be very exciting! Ed001. what lads do you think will make a stamp this year? I still think Woodburn needs a loan away, still looks very timid.

redbutcher

{Ed001's Note - Grujic is the obvious one as he has to play a lot of games for his work permit.}

1.) 02 Aug 2017 14:52:54
Grujic should, imo, be ahead of Can in the pecking order. For numerous reasons.

2.) 02 Aug 2017 15:16:17
Why don't you rate Can? I'inconsistency yes, but so does phill. When he's running with the ball for a lad who's a fair lump he's fairly agile and is hard to knock off the ball. Il get stuck I know but I see Hendo as the weak link.

3.) 02 Aug 2017 15:28:28
I like the look of Grujic going forward but he doesn't seem very good when the opposition have to ball. I might be doing the lad a disservice here but that's my observation on the limited times I've seen him. He always seems to be out of position, he seems to lack the desire to get the ball back and the opposition drift past him far too easily which leads to him he making silly tackles when the balls not there to be won. Hopefully I'm wrong and have just noticed something which isn't necessarily a fair reflection of his ability?

4.) 02 Aug 2017 18:38:43
Agree with red butcher. can't see what everyone see in him. His stats show best passing rate but no gets within 10yrds because he has passed the ball by then.

Ed002/ 001 - question about our striking options. With Ings, Studge, solanke and Origi all trying to fit in a position that is currently occupied by bobby. Who do you think will be his main challenger in terms of getting in that starting line up? For me Bobby has to play.
His work rate and energy is something that I don't think can be matched by either of the above mentioned, his link up play and movement off the ball is brilliant and he drops back just enough to let the likes of Couts and mane cut in. Be very surprised if we keep them all.

Your thoughts Ed?

redbutcher

{Ed002's Note - I would think Sturridge. Solanke will be eased in. Origi can play wider as well. Ings might struggle to get game time.}

1.) 30 Jul 2017 14:28:25
Ings can't realistically expect a starting birth and will most likely be content to fight for a squad place and get some regular footy from the u23s. Solanke looks like a player 10 times his fee in preseason and scorched the u20s world cup so I can genuinely see him challenging for time but it's important to remember origi was essential to Belgium success a few years ago and has developed into a multidimensional player. I see Solanke as a central forward and Origi performing a balancing act between two different roles in the squad. He can close down well so I don't mind him out wide in certain fixtures. Granted we have two incredible wingers now but they can't possibly play every game. Same with bobby and danny. The thing about this season is that you need a massive squad to contribute because we are playing 3 times a week for most of the year. Losing anyone who can credibly start at their position would be bad business for us.

2.) 30 Jul 2017 14:54:17
I don't like that idea of Origi going out on to the wings. I pay my money at the turnstiles so I have the right to say I don't rate Origi. I don't think he does enough. Always late arriving to the ball and switching on and doesn't close down play in my opinion. So putting him on the flanks because he can't muscle in on the central role, is a bit of a kick in the teeth to Woodburn and other young players on that left side who we have in abundance.

3.) 30 Jul 2017 15:47:37
I thought Solanke's 'fee' has yet to be decided by tribunal?

4.) 30 Jul 2017 16:49:59
Think he means whatever it turns out to be he's going to be cheap, isn't 3/ 4 mil the amount being tossed about. Make more on pie sales throughout the season ahaha.

Poor Liverpool team, how can you say it's not? We have very little class in depth? We have a defence that a mid table team wouldn't be proud of? Wake up our team is a myth. We have a very good attack. Miles off the pace. We haven't won a trophy in the last 5 years? Poor side maybe harsh in some people's eyes, but everyone can agree with under achieving as a better adjective. I know what I've said is very negative. But when you pay your money to watch from the stands week in week out, you have the right to state your views.

Have I really just seen someone ask what's the difference between Woodburn and Max Meyer? A regular in the Schalke side and Germany, then a lad who rarely fractures for a poor Liverpool side? Jesus, I know Woodburn has potential but don't say silly things like that.

Good move for him, not good enough for a team wanting to challenge for cups and titles. At 23 you should be established, not making 10 apps a season.
