I have heard whispers that Liverpool might be considering adding Jamie Carragher as a defensive coach for the first team. Is there any truth in this?

1.) 05 Oct 2017 16:21:18
They should make him his own little technical area right behind the goals.

2.) 05 Oct 2017 18:28:42
Watching touhline will be impossible.

We hane one big actor with his heavy mettle antics and with Carra's passion they both will ens up doing a Wwe bout.

It will be super duper show.

Cheers.

I'd have Reina, Carra, Hyypia, Gerrard, and Alonso all on the backroom team!

Maybe Luis Garcia as well? And Crouch?

One day when I'm in charge.

{Ed025's Note - you will have to fight me and harry for it george..

4.) 05 Oct 2017 23:39:42
I’d play carra right now.

5.) 06 Oct 2017 11:14:54
Has he even got any experience in coaching?

6.) 06 Oct 2017 14:01:41
These whispers, do they happen often?

7.) 06 Oct 2017 19:18:48
I would genuinely rather have our U18s coach play in our defence right now, at least he would be switched on and get stuck in and play for the shirt. I’m not saying this would happen at all but it tells a story when Gerrard the youth team coach is the best player out of the whole defence probably still now lol.

8.) 06 Oct 2017 06:28:36
George T that should be a quick fight.

Eds, two players I have seen little information about on this page are Ryan Gauld and Dennis Praet. I know it was mentioned on here about a year ago that we were interested in Praet. Do you know of any interest we or others might have in these players. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Dundee's Ryan Gauld has been subject to interest from Reading, Wolves and Middlesbrough.

Liverpool, Ajax and AC Milan declared an interest in Anderlecht's Dennis Praet last year. Interest remains from Ajax.}

Eds, I didn't find anything by searching. Do you know if there is any link between Karim Bellarabi and Liverpool? Or what is happening with him?

{Ed002's Note - Eintracht Braunschweig still want to make Karim Bellarabi's loan permanent whilst there is interest from both Hamburg and Hoffenheim. Interest from Stuttgart seems to have gone.}

Eds, I was recently checking the stats of players previously of interest to LFC, and noticed Luuk de Jong has scored 54 goals in 97 appearances for PSV . That is impressive. I know he did not shone at Newcastle, but he seems to have improved since then. Any interest in the premier league?

{Ed025's Note - not from the top clubs mate..

1.) 25 Jun 2017 22:33:25
Everton interested then 025?
Just kidding;)

{Ed025's Note - we were max before we became one of the big players.. :)

2.) 25 Jun 2017 23:52:30
How about Everton then, 025? ;)

{Ed025's Note - in his dreams mate.. :)

3.) 25 Jun 2017 21:30:29
he is playing in a league that suits him, too slow for the pl imo, you could have him then Ed025!

{Ed025's Note - we courted him a while back KK, but that was before we were one of the big boys.. :)

Eds, I have seen a rumour that Brendan Rodgers will be replaced by Frank de Boer by the end of this month. My question is: Do you still consider it a possibility that Rodgers will be let go? It seems a common assumption he will be saying but the silence from Anfield and the sackings and promotions make me question it. What do you think? Thank you

{Ed002's Note - I assume you have been playing on Twitter or somewhere like that - don't bring that stuff to me please.}

Eds, in the case of konoplyanka.
I have read that he is holding out for a move to LFC. Is it likely that LFC still holds interest but do not want to pay the 15m sum they offered in January? Being aware of kono's interest they could be holding out to the end of the window when he is likely to give up and a smaller club will offer a smaller sum. In this way LFC can then offer that same lower sum and because of kono's desire to join LFC he would naturally seek to go there and LFC get to fork out only the lower sum. Is this a likely strategy/scenario for the situation?
Because Dnipro president messed LFC around he would learn his lesson well. Please consider!

{Ed002's Note - I see no reason for Liverpool to act in such a childish manner.}

1.) Childish or strategic? If it saves several millions that would be more of a business decision. I agree that childishness probably does not play a role at that level of decision making but business surely does.

Cavani rumors are heating up again eds. Apparently positive talks were held with Cavani's representative over the weekend and they are meeting tomorrow to discuss a bid being made. Are you aware of this, can you conform or have you more information? Do you think a deal is possible?

{Ed002's Note - I have dealt with this previously.}

1.) Cavani is overrated and overpaid, period!

Ed001, I have to take issue with your claim that Ox supports LFC. I have a link to an interview where he clearly states he has been an Arsenal fan for many years. Peace!

80m euro is really not that much, when you consider a 70m price tag for VVD.

Ed02, why were PSG told he was not for sale and not Liverpool? And if we were told then why did we pursue? And in pursuing we almost signed the player why did PSG not realize this and come back in? It doesn't make sense.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know what Liverpool were told. But in the end it seems very clear that the player was "not for sale". It was always going to be difficult to persuade the owner to sell. PSG went on to concentrate their efforts in a bid for someone else - and that was rejected.}
