Gutted for the Ox but can i say great statement from him, showed class to put things in perspective compared to the fan who was badly assulted last night and is in a serious condition.

I like this dude more and more every week. Really gutted for him. Let's hope the fan makes a speedy recovery.

Agree with the above posts Ox must be gutted been improving with every game and looking top notch. Real touch of class putting his injury into perspective to the Irish lad fighting for his life in hospital, hope the lad pulls through and the lads on the pitch give him the ultimate get well soon present.

Question for the Ed's, not so much a Liverpool question but as there have been lots of discussion around tapping up players it got me thinking.

Are there rules/ how are the rules around what a player and the manager can speak about if.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, but they don't apply to Klopp or Liverpool.}

Think that was a genuine question looking for a genuine answer from someone with a vast amount of knowledge as yourself Ed 02.

{Ed002's Note - I have not got the time to explain now - try asking at the weekend.}

Sorry my sausage fingers hit send before i completed the question!

My question was how do clubs stop players from being tapped up whilst on loan? I assume clubs would expect the loaning club to act professionally.

{Ed002's Note - I am sure whilst on loan it goes on and clubs can live with that.}

Eds, a question if i may, was reading a post earlier regarding Grujic and him having to play or risk losing his work permit.

My question is, how many games/ minutes does a player need to play to keep their work permit? Is it measured on games played or mins played?

{Ed002's Note - No, Grujic does not qualify for a work permit but the club has put forward an argument that he will be regular member of the first team this year. If he isn't the club know he will lose it.}

Ah ok, makes sense, think i misinterpreted the original post! Thanks.

I think we have had a very good window and as fans should be appreciative.

It also looks like Chelsea are going to end up having a good window if not a bit late. If they get Fekir good luck to him, i personally hope we don't go for him purely based on the reservations we have on the previous knee issues he has had. If we feel that strongly about the injury that a transfer falls through, don't go back in.

I would also add that the weight of the pass from migs was poor which gave Lucas less time.

Could it be that Klopp will use Gomez at right or left back which is why he signed Klavan?

With Ilori and Wisdom likely to leave and Flanno going on loan maybe Gomez is seen as cover for both flanks.

Appreciate that it goes against what Klopp has previously said, maybe Square Tomato knows if Klopp has spoken to Gomez again.

I stayed in a hostel on Ellis street about 13 years ago where Ellis meets Larkin street. Great hostel but one hell of a sketchy area, not sure if it has changed since but i have memories, some fond and some not so! Love San Fran as a whole though.

{Ed002's Note - That is the Tenderloin heading up close to Polk Gulch. They are not good areas I am afraid. Please never refer to it as "San Fran" or "Frisco" - locals don't like it. San Francisco or The City.}

What i didn't like was each time they reviewed anything it seemed to take forever and what was more annoying is it didn't result in any added on time at the end. 4 mins added time in the 1st half when there were 3 calls to VAR, 2 injuries and subs and 4 goals. Makes you feel cheated out of game time.

Good article, one mistake though ed (sorry) but Brighton finished second and got pomoted that way and not the play offs.

{Ed001's Note - no need to apologise, you are right. Thank you for pointing that out.}

Hi Ed, can i suggest some articles on players who have had an interesting life off the pitch? Would be great to read about some players who may not be considered legends for their footballing skills but might have gone on to great things out side the game or had to overcome real life adversities, like Paul McGrath and im sure there are plenty of others.

Would be really interesting and inspiring to read about some footballers as people and not just their football if that makes sense.

{Ed001's Note - most of them have had interesting lives off the pitch to be honest. Good choice to add McGrath, probably the most naturally gifted defender ever to play the game.}
