Is it rodeo clown season, or has some dingbat upset Ed's 002, really missing him/ her.

markovicsnuts

{Ed002's Note - I am travelling at the moment MNs (and have been for the past couple of weeks) - sat in the Terminal A Admirals Lounge at DFW airport. Should be back in the UK by the start of October but my PA tells me that my travel schedule through mid December is pretty busy. In terms of transfer news right now, what I am aware of does not include Liverpool. Normally clubs do not plan for January transfers, but I think we will see more business than usual this coming window as other clubs (across Europe) are doing some posturing.}

1.) 21 Sep 2016 21:27:03
Thanks for the reply, glad the gilfnards haven't got to you yet, sounds like silly season is coming soon, busy times for rodeo clowns.

{Ed002's Note - No the Liverpool folk have been fine recently. I do expect a busier January than usual - and Real Madrid, who admitted their guilt before being charged and offered to accept a one window ban, will go to the Court of Arbitration not to have the banned overturned but to change it from a Jan/Summer 2017 ban to a summer 2017/Jan 2018 ban that will be softer and will open up the January window to buy and loan back a player or two.}

2.) 21 Sep 2016 21:27:48
I hope the travelling goes well ed, safe travels.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks, now home in SF.}

3.) 22 Sep 2016 09:51:16
Was going to ask what had happened to you Ed02 safe travels.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

4.) 22 Sep 2016 10:24:49
Is Ed001 your PA, Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - Bitch is I think the word you are looking for.}

5.) 22 Sep 2016 16:16:57
One's work as a rodeo clown is never done; never forget that it is always rodeo clown season.

6.) 22 Sep 2016 20:38:30
The thought of Ed2 making Ed1 her bitch brings about rather distressing clown-related images in my head.

Skittles has denied signing a new contract,here's hoping

markovicsnuts

1.) 19 Jun 2015 19:54:53
Ffs give the guy a break, if he had a decent defensive mid in front of him it would help. At least he shows some balls and aggression!

{Ed001's Note - so did Ruddock and Dicks, but they were still awful.}

2.) 19 Jun 2015 20:21:36
Haha Ruddock

Im all for a new partnership not involving Skertal and as he's the most senior and longest servant as a CB he is in theory the big dog in the yard. It would be hard for anyone to come in and tell Skertal to cover there, do that, push up etc.
Thats his job and he doesn't do it.

3.) 19 Jun 2015 20:29:40
Lol I get ha Ed, skittles ain't awfull though imo. He does drop deep at times but he's in bad company most the time.

{Ed001's Note - it is not just that he drops off, if he just dropped off then his partners in the backline would be able to cope without needing some communication with him. It is because one second he drops off too deep, the next he holds, then a second later he is charging out, only to then drop deep. All without a single shout or call to warn team mates what he intends to do. So they are left having to check his position and then risk getting caught out looking away as their man makes a move, or they can just hold the position they think is right and risk being exposed as he drops deep or rushes out.}

4.) 19 Jun 2015 23:31:23
Hahaha. Skittles. Errr. Red. An. Yellow an pink an green. Unreal.

5.) 19 Jun 2015 23:42:00
I truly hope Skrtel leaves as DM or not his lack of awareness will keep costing us points. At least Lovren seems decent with a DM but my wish would be to give Ilori and Sakho some time pre season to see if they gel. Ed001 I know you've said it seems likely Ilori will leave but if he has a great tournament do you see any hope for him or has br already decided he's gone?

Bugger, Senegal playing really well,
May go far, bugger,
Mane scored again, silver lining.

markovicsnuts

1.) 19 Jan 2017 20:31:04
Yeah feel the same mark, selfish but think they could go all the way. Great for Mane not for Liverpool

2.) 19 Jan 2017 22:32:26
It's a win either way.
A) Senegal do poorly, Mane comes home sooner
B) Senegal win it and Mane comes back brimming with confidence and playing on instinct.

😎

3.) 20 Jan 2017 04:02:49
That's the best way to look at it Ron - your optimism is refreshing.

4.) 20 Jan 2017 01:41:23
Or C

He goes on the lash, and don't get back till march

But when he returns, Amazingly he's 17.

YNWA

{Ed025's Note - love it mick..

5.) 20 Jan 2017 09:25:52
Ron - option c, Senegal loose in the semi final or final and Mane is out for the maximum time (or near enough) and still returns dejected

6.) 20 Jan 2017 12:08:31
If he plays well and comes back with confidence and no injuries then that's all we can hope for. Good luck to the lad, hope they win it.

7.) 20 Jan 2017 17:18:38
Both mane and matip ironically could be out for a further 5 games. Not ideal but we have the squad to cope.

{Ed025's Note - do you really believe that mate?..

16 Jan 2017 18:18:08
Question for Ed's 002 if he/ she is about.
Lfc related in regards the race for the Prem title, is the Costa to China rumour just a storm in a tabloid teacup or is there any truth in it?

markovicsnuts

{Ed002's Note - This is the Liverpool page - try the Chelsea page.}

1.) 16 Jan 2017 19:11:03
Sorry Ed's me bad.
Been over there, lots of chat but no input from yourself, I don't believe any rumour till you or 001 say it's so

2.) 17 Jan 2017 08:51:28
Don't you listen to the sharkopods? I think we can rule out ed 02 being a woman

3.) 17 Jan 2017 15:42:44
Or an American woman!

4.) 18 Jan 2017 17:00:16
A cup of Costa .

01 Jan 2017 19:55:16
How often does the winner Of The top team duels win the league?
Current standings:-
LFC-11 points.
CFC -9 points.
MUFC -8pts
Arsnl-5 pts
Spurs-4 pts
MCFC-3 pts.

markovicsnuts

1.) 01 Jan 2017 20:34:12
Pretty sure that united have only beaten Spurs and would sit on five points. Either way, it is a bit irrelevant if, after beating a title contender, we then go and lose to Bournemouth etc.

2.) 01 Jan 2017 21:01:43
United beat Arsenal didn't they?

3.) 01 Jan 2017 21:01:43
United beat Arsenal didn't they?

4.) 01 Jan 2017 21:14:00
Andy Giroud scored in the 90 mins to make it 1-1.

5.) 01 Jan 2017 21:14:38
No arsenal and United drew.

6.) 02 Jan 2017 00:16:15
Und are a different team now compared with when we played them.

They are the dark horse to watch along with Chelsea in the new year.

I hope they are one of the teams that will take points of Chelsea.

7.) 02 Jan 2017 02:22:22
My bad.

17 Dec 2016 17:53:25
looking at the league table tonite, the top six have all lost 2 or 3 games yet Chelsea are well clear due to just 1 draw.
I have long believed (since it went to 3 pts for a win) that risking a loss and going for the win should pay dividends, ie your drawing three matches with ten minutes to go and you keep going for it, win one, draw one, lose one, is a better return.
Rafa's near miss season was scuppered by by long unbeaten runs that included too many draws.
What's your thoughts reds and Ed's.

markovicsnuts

{Ed001's Note - agree completely mate.}

1.) 17 Dec 2016 19:06:55
Cheers Ed's I fully understand it went from 2 to 3 pts to make a win more desirable, would 4 pts for a win shake the dinosaur managers (you know who they are) into playing more entertaining football, or do you or anyone else have any ideas for less bus parking and more end to end entertainment.
I know nothing about rugby league nor follow it but I Am aware from news items that points are awarded for attacking play, ie even if you lose you get league points for more than 3 trys or something, also bonus points for 5/ 6 trys if you win, does anyone think something similar could work in football?
Having said all that lfc are playing how punters want to see the game played, Just wish more teams would.

{Ed001's Note - it would end up all false like American sports and rugby, with ridiculously high scores.}

2.) 17 Dec 2016 20:11:36
OK get your point but I did top 6 on this point system.
2point win
1point draw
Bonus point for 3 goals scored
Bonus point for 5 goals scored.
Table including today:-
CFC 37
Lfc 34
Afc 32
Mcfc 27
Thfc 27
MU 24
Just bored thinking too much waiting for Monday!

3.) 17 Dec 2016 22:34:28
Rugby is a game where draws are unlikely due to the points system. The bonus point system is a good way of differentiating between teams. Drawing too many games is not a problem in football; bonus points just not needed.
What we do need to learn from Rugby is player respect for referees, post game citation for e. g. simulation, and sensible use of video tech.

4.) 18 Dec 2016 09:08:54
Rugby is not the standard bearer for use of video refs! Unless you want foitball to stop every few minutes for 5-10 minutes at a time!

5.) 18 Dec 2016 13:15:29
Lol Faithinwork I have yet to see a rugby game stop for 5-10 minutes every few minutes. You should be brought up on charges for that kind on slander.

Everyone has had ups and downs, Chelsea's, MU's and cities the most dramatic, ourselves, spurs and arsenal have plodded along quite steadily.
Our u23 squad drew a cup game, we lost 1st leg in a cup game away, and drew 2 away league matches featuring 2 pens and a goal that shouldn't have stood to the form team in the Prem at the moment.
If this is a crisis god help us.
I'd have bitten your arm off to be ahead of MU, ARSE and MCFC tied for 2nd at this stage Of The season.

He did great right up to the 90th minute when we were under the cosh, and defending a corner/ free kick and while the whole MU team were in our half he rushed a roll out to one of our players already under presure, who got the ball taken off him and they nearly scored.
Brain dead decision, how can a pro of his age, experience make mistakes so fundamental that even I can see it.
