Hi all, been sitting back catching up on all the opinions and rumours have I missed anything thing an Daccoure of palace is he a target are we interested?
Sorry if it's been covered before but just wondered why we haven't gone for him but all the talk is gravenburch.

Watching doucoure tonight for the first time with any real interest and have to say he doesn’t look great. Doesn’t make himself available to receive the ball in tight spaces and on half turn and doesn’t look great on the ball. Also seems to just jog around the pitch at one pace - a little like Fabinho. Not same level as Lavia or Caicedo imo at first glance.

I don't get what you mean by dross vv less than a year ago RG was rated across Europe and bayern saw fit to add him to thier team. he's young and has bags of potential bit i suppose the lads on here know better than Klopp im sure you could see the potential in robbo like Klopp did and im sure you were certain salah would be a success even after he failed at chelsea. I for one will get behind whoever he brings in and just out of curiosity what makes him any less of a player than szoboslai because im guessing you hadnt even heard of him before we went in for him but he was 60mil so he musnt be "dross"

I wouldn’t say the transfer window has been a disaster I’d say it’s been absolutely shocking. The owners and manager promised so much and yet again not delivered. We will be fighting not for top 4 but top 6 with this squad IMO. As the season goes on and the injuries kick in then we will see how poor this window has been.

To lighten the mood, you can search right back to well before Robbo signed for us and I was on here asking of we would sign him. Everyone said he wasnt up to it. It is my claim to fame on here haha.

Does anyone else see the irony in us criticizing K. Phillips, praising City's depth, yet K. Phillips sits on their bench?

anyways, this window is far from a disaster. just another step towards rebuilding the squad. we don't need to do the whole job in one swing. Amazing depth up front. We've turned over the midfield with room to grow.

Defense is ok, again with room to grow.

I think we get far too down on our team when we actually have a really good squad.

RedWeston, Gravenberch is a lad whose opinion of his own ability far exceeds his actual ability. Overhyped as a kid with a greedy manipulative agent who pushed for a big move when he was nowhere near ready. Has sat at Bayern complaining about not playing but not working hard to get in the team. Spent much of the second half of last season trying to get a move away from his supposed dream move. He’ll be playing in Turkey by the time he’s 25/ 26.

VV is spot on as usual. Too much sugar coating on the site. Each time we’re linked with a sub par player there is blind optimism despite us finishing fifth last year. I want to challenge for titles not mid-table mediocrity. Gravenberch and Phillips optimise that.

We found a better player than Gravenberch, in Endo. It would be silly to sign a lesser midfielder now. Gravenberch was the best option of who we were linked to before Endo came out of nowhere, but he was only the best because the other links were shocking (Lavia, Phillips etc) or just over priced (Caicedo, Doucoure etc) .

Some half decent winger in the Portuguese league. Markovic 2.0 imo. Has pace to burn, gets past players at ease and then messes up the final delivery. We are just signing another Markovic imo.
