Hi edds1 of my friends says that Klopp has fallen out with the owners. Have you heard anything.

kings

{Ed001's Note - nope.}

1.) 22 Sep 2016 19:52:24
lol. gullible is the word that comes to mind kings ;)

2.) 22 Sep 2016 20:35:12
If he had I'm sure he'd have given us at least a hint in the press with a typically humorous comment. Klopp is an outspoken person and isn't likely to stay silent on matters like this.

3.) 22 Sep 2016 21:52:06
Sounds like complete bull to me. Haters trying to stir the pot with FSG.

4.) 23 Sep 2016 00:02:27
OP, seriously you are either that gullible or this is a whine up post.

5.) 23 Sep 2016 08:25:07
I heard they're all going to have a straightener at Melwood after the Hull game to sort it all out. Jurgens not happy about his internet speed, they got **** **** for him, ' and the owners are getting fed up of hiring a pooper scooper to follow Jurgan and his dog. It was bound to go off eventually.

6.) 23 Sep 2016 16:24:02
I didn't think it was right, thought i'd check. Gullable. probably.

Hi has there been a review of the Burnley game yet please.

kings

{Ed001's Note - yes mate: Burnley review.

1.) 26 Aug 2021 16:29:56
yes sorry rushing to thank you and end up on wrong thread. lols.

2.) 27 Aug 2021 07:09:18
As always a great read Ed001. On minor quibble is that whilst I thought Elliot had a great first up game for such a young bloke, worked hard both on and off the ball, good touch and eye for pass. However his defensive positioning is still a work in progress. TAA got exposed a few times in the first half partly because Elliot was out of position and partly because McNeill in particular ran straight past him. it looked like in the second half, Hendo was playing much more towards his side to help him out plus TAA seemed to be waiting a bit more than usual before charging forward so that Elliot was not as exposed. Does this sound correct?

{Ed001's Note - yes, very much so.}

Edds quick question what happened with Dean Saunders. Souness only gave him a brief time at club. Why was he turfed out so quickly?

kings

{Ed001's Note - because he was crap and a complete bell.}

1.) 03 Jul 2021 18:31:50
Has to be the thickest commentator ever!

2.) 03 Jul 2021 18:39:48
Thanks for quick reply. I thought he was a big fan and would of made the most of his chance.

{Ed001's Note - he was not even close to being good enough. I remember sitting right by the touchline for one game and just been aghast at how crap he actually was. He had a first touch that made Lukaku's look like Pele. Awful player who just ran around throwing his weight about.}

3.) 03 Jul 2021 19:10:18
He was shocking. His second touch was a tackle and was a bang average finisher. Just no where near good enough. Mark Wright was signed at the same time I thought he was decent at least he always gave 100%. I remember him and Stuart Peace once going at it.

4.) 03 Jul 2021 19:57:25
Never forget that awful assault he did on Paul Elliott that ended his career. That was a shocker. Literally went out to injure him. Was unrepentant and unapologetic. He should have been banned from all football for life for that.

5.) 03 Jul 2021 20:57:42
I don't understand why Souness always went back in for him then if he rated him so poorly. Saunders was even his assistant when he was at Rovers and Newcastle.

6.) 03 Jul 2021 22:01:00
I was a kid when he signed for us, remember being happy enough with the signing cos he'd been good for Derby. But looking back it was just a time at the club where players not good enough for our standards were being brought in year after year. The best players of that era. God, Macca and Redknapp either came through the academy or brought in as a kid.

7.) 03 Jul 2021 20:59:29
Ed001 the worst thing about it was Souness bought him to replace Peter Beardsley. Awful footballer just had pace and that was it reminds me of watching kyle walker if they did not have that pace they would struggle to play Sunday league.

{Ed001's Note - he wasn't that quick when playing for us, he was defo carrying a few extra pounds slowing him down.}

8.) 04 Jul 2021 10:05:51
Whilst we are talking about Kyle Walker I would like to nominate him as the king. of passing backwards, although Luke Shaw ran him pretty close in the first half last night.

{Ed025's Note - i suspect thats down to the coach rather than the player langland, shaw was excellent last night but walker was pretty poor positionally imo mate..

28 Apr 2021 17:43:15
Hi edds I know this is the Liverpool page but what do u make of Tuchal and Chelsea do you think he will continue his form.

kings

{Ed002's Note - It is going fine and will continue to do so - with the caveat that he has some history of falling out with those above him.}

1.) 28 Apr 2021 17:57:02
Thanks for quick response, do you think he will be a threat next season?

{Ed002's Note - A threat to who?}

2.) 28 Apr 2021 20:52:34
All is fine at Chelsea. Tactically, Tuchel is miles ahead of Klopp but look at the squad Chelsea have. Liverpool's doesn't have the same quality and depth. That makes Tuchel's life so much easier than Klopp's.

3.) 28 Apr 2021 21:08:20
Tuchel is miles ahead of Klopp tactically? Their respective trophy cabinets would disagree strongly with that outrageous statement.

Tuchel isn’t ahead of Klopp in any respect.

4.) 28 Apr 2021 22:13:56
How many Bundesliga titles did Tuchel win? Or dare I say CL titles? Enough said?

5.) 28 Apr 2021 22:53:54
That is blasphemy!

6.) 28 Apr 2021 23:41:03
Tuchel is Klopp Lite!

He is more than likely to go off the rails and I suspect he won’t be at Chelsea long term.

{Ed0666's Note - not sure about that mate. They’ll extend his contract if he wins them the CL in his first season

7.) 29 Apr 2021 06:55:20
Chelsea won't keep any manager long term, carlo won trophies and got sacked. funny club really.

20 Sep 2020 15:44:11
Edds can you settle an arguement please why was Benitez so keen to get rid of Alonso please.

kings

{Ed001's Note - because they fell out when Alonso's wife was about to have their first child and Xabi wanted to be at the birth. Rafa couldn't understand why a player would choose to miss a game.}

1.) 20 Sep 2020 16:05:40
Sorry but no soon to be dad would ever miss the birth of their first child. Stupid attitude from Rafa.

2.) 20 Sep 2020 16:05:51
Thanks you edds.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate. It was something Rafa has learnt from and realised it was a mistake since, but it was a terrible error.}

3.) 20 Sep 2020 16:14:53
Ed001 most mangers would not expect that from a player. But I think Klopp would tell his player to go to the birth even if they wanted to play.

{Ed001's Note - Rafa was never the best at man management, he was too aloof, he didn't understand why everyone was not as obsessed about football as he was. As he has got older he has mellowed though.}

4.) 20 Sep 2020 17:41:56
Such as shame, probably cost us a league title losing Xabi. Benitez must be mental though! to even ask someone to miss the birth of their child for work is awful!

5.) 20 Sep 2020 17:56:05
In Rafa's defense, he missed his own father's funeral whilst Liverpool were in Japan (I think) playing in the Super Cup in 2005. Not quite the same thing I know but I guess he saw that as the ultimate commitment and probably expected similar from his players?

{Ed001's Note - exactly what I was saying by he couldn't understand why others were not as obsessed as he was.}

6.) 20 Sep 2020 21:27:58
Pretty sure rafa is a high functioning autistic.

7.) 20 Sep 2020 21:33:23
Ed01, that was a stupid thing for Rafa to do. I know, some players can get over such a wonderful, life-changing event esp. if it is your first child BUT either way, Rafa screwed up and for him to want to dump Xabi just to sign a guy 3 times inferior to him, just sound petty and vindictive, IMO. Man management was definitely not Rafa's strong suit and who knows what might have been had Xabio stayed.

09 Jun 2020 22:16:33
Edds I know he was poor but in your opinion why didn't Harry Kewall work out. Its a while back I know.

kings

{Ed001's Note - attitude and injuries. He was a bit lazy and picked up injuries.}

1.) 09 Jun 2020 23:19:26
Only for Harry Kewell we would never have won the champions league back in 2005.
Or should I say only for his injury and got subbed changed the whole tactics for that match, he got a little niggle and the physio tried to get him to walk it off but he was having none of it and asked to be subbed. That's when Smicer came on after a couple of minutes because he didn't have his boots on and the rest is history.

2.) 10 Jun 2020 01:59:45
Injuries.

3.) 10 Jun 2020 05:28:13
I remember an interview after a match when he said he wasn't 100% fit. Carra was not far away and when they interviewed him he said he played unless he was 100% unfit.

{Ed001's Note - I didn't like him at all. Apart from his embarrassing diving, he was such a coward who shirked challenges and wanted to be mollycoddled constantly. One of the worst signings the club has ever made imo, when you consider the cost (for the time) and the talent he had. If he had broken a sweat just once, I might have had a bit of time for him, but he was so far up his own backside, he thought making an effort was beneath him.}

4.) 10 Jun 2020 11:07:31
Thought there was a big stink at the time that Liverpool' stole' him because Leeds were in dire need of funds, 7 million they paid, doesn't seem that much, considering Man utd. Paid 30million year before for Rio, I'm sure also Kewell got a silly amount of the transfer fee leaving Leeds with next to nothing, I may be wrong, but there was definitely something 😀.

{Ed001's Note - if it had been 7p it would have been too much. He was a s***house of the highest order.}

5.) 10 Jun 2020 11:45:41
Hahahaha, don't sit on the fence! If it's any consolation utd paid moreorless the same for djemba djemba same year, have to admit I was looking forward to seeing him when he first signed, I wAs also quickly disappointed 😀.

{Ed001's Note - it was big money for us at the time. Rio was an anomaly rather than the norm you have to remember. And, to be honest, I think I am being nicer than Kewell deserves. Nobody joining the club they support has any excuse of any kind for not trying. Kewell was a Liverpool fan and yet he never tried for the club. Utterly unforgivable. That is the absolute minimum that should be expected of a player and he refused to even give that while picking up a huge wage.}

6.) 10 Jun 2020 22:27:36
Thanks edds I always thought he was lazy but my old man thought he was great at Leeds.

{Ed001's Note - he was good at Leeds, just disappeared up his own backside when we bought him.}

7.) 10 Jun 2020 22:54:17
lol Ed001 sugarcoat why don't you ;-) My perception of Kewell was that he only put the effort in when it was his last year of contract. I do remember though that there was some disagreement about whether the LFC staff physio was handling him correctly - didn't the socceroos send over their physio and things improved? Or was that just a coincidence because World Cup was coming up and he didn't want to miss it?

{Ed001's Note - it was simply because of the World Cup. He was a disgrace.}

8.) 11 Jun 2020 03:32:05
I think he got a bit overhyped from his couple of seasons with Leeds who had a team that gelled well together but many of those key players like kewell never showed they were genuinely capable of stepping up and having a career at a higher level besides ferdinand. Woodgate, bowyer, viduka, Alan Smith all ended up having similar career paths of not being good enough at the bigger sides and seemingly struggled to deal with overcoming fitness issues. I think they just enjoyed 2 or 3 years on form together yet ultimately didn't possess the quality that many believed.
