Eds, any truth to the Angel Correa links.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City, PSG and Roma showed an interest in Atletico Madrid's Angel Correa last season but his wage demands priced him out of a move. An approach from Inter was rebuffed due to their transfer ban. I don't know of any Liverpool interest but buying yet another right winger makes little sense to me}

1.) 11 Jul 2017 11:15:30
You also need to remember that Athletico can't sign a replacement.

2.) 11 Jul 2017 10:55:10
Thanks for quick reply. I think there are other priorities than signing another winger, although having 3 or 4 wingers in your squad would make most managers happy. Do you think another winger is what Klopp is pushing for or just lazy journalism. It seems we are being reportedly interested in a different winger every week.

{Ed002's Note - The club looked at a number of wingers and failed to sign their firs choice. They have yet to address the real need of a left winger and it makes little sense to add more right wingers unless someone is to leave.}

3.) 11 Jul 2017 12:18:39
Hi ends I agree with you why another right sided winger why no left wingers, and the only 1 we have in shey is going, there was rumours about di Maria he would be a good fit, Any news on him, and updates on mammana.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has never shown any interest in Angel Di Maria. The situation with Mammana is as I explained.}

4.) 11 Jul 2017 13:13:59
One of the eds said we made a silly offer or keita balde of lazio could there be another offer coming or has that ship sailed?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool purchased Salah after.}

5.) 11 Jul 2017 13:28:29
Correa is more a central player than rw though. looks like a good versatile player, think he can be a very good player in the right team.

6.) 11 Jul 2017 13:29:52
Pretty sure Mane and Salah would switch positions throughout the match in order to promote fluidity and be harder to defend against, assuming Salah can play on the left. He is left footed so you'd hope so.

{Ed002's Note - The can both play on the left but they are both used as right wingers. As you say, Salah is left footed.}

7.) 11 Jul 2017 14:16:14
Mane probably played on the right more due to the fact we had no other option for that position whilst coutinho is very good on the left. didn't Mane play on the left a lot for Southampton. We have 2 players capable of playing either wing. i don't see this need to label them to one single role. If they are good enough they can play many positions. The ball is still round, the goals are still the same size, the grass is still green.

{Ed002's Note - Nobody is labelling them to a single role.}

8.) 11 Jul 2017 18:29:17
Ed2 almost certain I've read 100s of times on this about them both being right wingers and seen that we need to buy a left winger. were many asking why were we buying salah as he's a right winger just like mane.

{Ed002's Note - Because the club did not manage to get their first choices and Klopp must see him as versatile.}

9.) 11 Jul 2017 19:06:06
Kopdog, by that token, we could stick Coutinho in defence and Lovren and Klavan on the wings.

10.) 11 Jul 2017 21:34:22
Correa is not just a right winger. He can play anywhere across the front. He's versatile in the way Firmino is.

23 Jan 2017 10:07:39
Hi Eds, do you know if harry maguire is attracting interest from LFC? Do Eds rate him or think he can play at higher levels. ?

{Ed001's Note - no and he is ok, but he is at his level if you ask me. He is a big bull of a player with little pace and needs to improve his reading of the game to move up. His forward runs look good on highlight packages, but they usually leave his team exposed and he doesn't get back quickly enough. If they ended in chances being created for his team or, at least, the ball being kept in dangerous areas, then fine, but they usually end up with him running too far, losing the ball and being caught out.}

1.) 23 Jan 2017 15:32:34
MOTD fever

06 May 2016 16:43:33
Any truth to the rumours that Liverpool are interested in Kovacic.

{Ed002's Note - No. He will be leaving in the summer and Milan have already held talks about him.}

05 Feb 2014 14:07:05
Ed, do you think we will be in for Adam Johnson?

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

1.) I really hope not.

2.) Just another Stewart Downing, I hope we avoid like the plague, he hardly set the work alite at City, he is at the right level now.

12 Dec 2013 17:58:20
EDs, can you do a player profile on Julian Draxler? also do you know if BR was in Germany recently watching play?

{Ed002's Note - There have been offers and enquiries for Draxler. Both Milan clubs, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea have enquired at one level or another about Draxler - each has met a "not for sale" barrier. I don't really expect a move this coming January. You will have to ask on the profiles page about a profile.}

10 Dec 2018 07:24:09
Ed's, can you add John Wayne to profile wish list? Many thanks.

{Ed001's Note - wait what?}

1.) 10 Dec 2018 08:19:03
Hahaha well that's random lol!

{Ed001's Note - he did play football to be fair, but the Americanese kind for those who are hard of thinking and believe football is to be played with the hands.}

2.) 10 Dec 2018 08:33:23
Didn't Mahatma Gandhi once kick a ball whilst he was in the UK studying? Could you add him too, please, Ed001 :) :D.

{Ed001's Note - ah Zed for you....not a chance!}

3.) 10 Dec 2018 08:35:36
I thought you were having me on Ed so I had to google it lol! well you learn something new everyday!

{Ed001's Note - no mate, he was one of a number of sports stars (though I have no idea if he was any good at sport or not to be honest) who have turned actors. Weissmuller, the old (and best) Tarzan won 5 gold medals as a swimmer before donning the leopard skin for instance.}

4.) 10 Dec 2018 08:56:19
Weissmuller, now that's a blast from the past, wow though, I think I've heard before that he was a swimmer back in the day but I didn't know he was THAT good at it.

{Ed001's Note - one of the greats of the sport mate. They are not all Vinnie Jones going into acting. Even the likes of Dolph Lundgren were sportsmen before being picked out to play the Russian Ivan Drago in Rocky IV. He was a competitive kickboxer. Though it still won't get them a player profile...}

5.) 10 Dec 2018 09:42:58
Remember woody strode, Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - I didn't until I looked him up, and now I do from 'Jaguar Lives' crap film but I love martial arts films, even the crap ones!}

6.) 10 Dec 2018 10:01:16
I remember him from one of my favourite westerns”once upon a time in the West”
He was in it for about 2 minutes in a great opening scene then Charlie bronson shot him.

7.) 10 Dec 2018 10:15:24
Why not do a profile for Bruce Lee he kicked plenty of BALLS in his lifetime.

{Ed001's Note - he actually was well known for punching in the knackers as well. Because he looked very small and nerdy and would act camp while in Hong Kong to goad local triads into picking a fight with him. Then he would smash them in the 'nads so quickly no one saw what happened. All they would see is this big hard gangster knocked out on the floor by this little geeky bloke. Apparently he took great delight in doing that in his later years.}

8.) 10 Dec 2018 10:49:05
Wasn't Bruce Lee also a ballet fan? He loved the Nutcracker.

I've already got my coat *whistles*.

9.) 10 Dec 2018 11:45:52
That is one of many great scenes in ”once upon a time in the West”.

{Ed001's Note - never been a fan of cowboy films so never seen it.}

10.) 10 Dec 2018 12:13:26
LOL 🤣 Zed. You have way too much free time on your hands.

11.) 10 Dec 2018 13:19:59
Hahaha zed, keep them coming mate lol! 😂.

12.) 10 Dec 2018 22:27:45
What about a profile on Pavarotti - goal keeper I believe 👍.

17 Mar 2018 17:19:34
Anyone know where I can stream Watford game?

1.) 17 Mar 2018 18:12:34
ronaldo7 . net/ live (minus the space) There are about 30 links to hd streams.

08 Jan 2018 18:37:28
So who is better, Oblak or Allison? Also, are either in the same levels of De Gea and Courtois?

{Ed002's Note - It is difficult to compare GKs. Both are seen to be very good, not quite at the highest level but not too far away.}

1.) 08 Jan 2018 18:53:33
Oblak obviously.

2.) 08 Jan 2018 19:23:06
I think someone like Oblak is unrealistic.

3.) 08 Jan 2018 19:25:50
Why oblak?

He plays for one of the most defensively solid teams the world has ever seen.

Behind Godin, Luis, Juan Fran and savic with Simeone as manager. Yes he is good but just imagine him behind our boys. Can he handle that pressure? Allison isn't playing for half as good defence.

4.) 08 Jan 2018 19:26:17
Oh and a Brazilian for firmino, could be very important.

5.) 08 Jan 2018 19:38:55
Winston did you ever see Oblak in action? Solid defence help but he is a really good shot stopper!

6.) 08 Jan 2018 19:48:09
De Gea > Oblak > Courtois > Allisson. All good keepers but De Gea is top three in the world, Oblak is top five, Courtois is top ten and Allisson is top twenty (just my opinion) .

7.) 08 Jan 2018 20:04:34
How many more names need to be added before we get to Migs, zpecialone?!

Allisson>Me gran>Me great-great gran's aunties dogs bone>Mignolet?

8.) 08 Jan 2018 21:07:39
That's the point tho bud. Oblak might be a good shot stopper but we need a commander, boss, leader, commander, el patron.

Wouldn't know if that's Allison but oblak I would worry about.

9.) 08 Jan 2018 21:33:41
Oblak is a better GK than Allisson BUT you one cannot deny that he plays in a VERY defensive system (like Burnley really) under Don Diego with a very good back line, something we do not have here yet and neither do we play a defensive system like AM do so I would not be all into Oblak as of yet.

10.) 09 Jan 2018 00:12:21
I havn't seen much of Allison to comment but the other 3, all three of them are fantastic keepers. If I had to choose one it's hard between De Gea and Oblak but it'd be De Gea for me.

11.) 09 Jan 2018 01:30:36
Haha Zed, good joke but we all know Migs isn't a goalie ;)

05 Jan 2018 16:49:23
Oblak for £100m reported in the papers?!?

1.) 05 Jan 2018 17:00:14
Wow.

The papers have finally lost their mind, excuse me while I lie down and look vacantly into the sky for hopes of finding some form of intelligent life.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 17:00:46
Of all the players we have be linked with in the past week.
I think he would improve the team the most.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 17:05:23
Oblak would be great but Allison or Butland are equally good options.

4.) 05 Jan 2018 17:09:16
I read we were interested but the £100 million was suggested to be his release clause, not that we were going to pay it.

5.) 05 Jan 2018 17:12:23
£100m for a goalkeeper I hope not even if he is good.

6.) 05 Jan 2018 17:59:48
Yes, as Bandit said, its a misleading headline. Only says we're interested but see the £100m release clause as a problem, not that we would pay it, in fact the exact opposite. Something like £50-£60m on him would be a great investment.

7.) 05 Jan 2018 18:02:25
I've just seen a group of pigs fly by my window . pure fantasy.

8.) 05 Jan 2018 18:03:35
That's correct bandit06 they just said it was his release clause.

16 Jul 2017 20:59:01
Who were our top targets if Salah wasn't?

1.) 16 Jul 2017 21:07:16
Brandt and Keita Balde Diao?

2.) 16 Jul 2017 21:08:53
Oh no. You went there 😲

1. Brandt
2. Rafa Silva
3. Malcom
4. RTFP.

3.) 16 Jul 2017 21:13:08
Brandt and I believe one of the eds said we had put a bid in for Keita balde.

4.) 16 Jul 2017 21:14:45
Julian Brandt
Balde diao

I think.

5.) 16 Jul 2017 21:28:13
What about LB? If I am not mistaken ed002 said Mendy was not our first choice, so who was? Robertson?

6.) 16 Jul 2017 21:45:13
Sessegnon.

7.) 16 Jul 2017 21:47:22
Ah, probably Sessegnon, totally forgot about him.

8.) 16 Jul 2017 23:37:16
Rafa Silva LOL.

9.) 17 Jul 2017 02:14:46
Not sure I understand how Sessegnon was our "1st choice" LB. Were we supposed to buy him and then he walks into the 1st team? or was he supposed to be one of the squad to compete with Milner and Moreno? Why would our first choice be a 16 year old? Would we not have had to buy another more experienced LB? Otherwise Milner would be the main starting LB again and I can see that most of you would not have wanted that.

Did everyone really feel they wanted to have a 16 year old in that position?

10.) 17 Jul 2017 06:40:30
He's 17.

Totally different ballgame to 16.

A lot of successful teams in europe have more than two out and out wingers in their squads. That's what enables them to qualify for CL and win titles. Don't understand why that concept would not apply to LFC.

Gelson is 14 assists and 6 goals in 32 league games. Not bad stats is it?

Yes Ibe has now gone on loan. I was quite impressed by the rare glimpses we got of Alberto - did not pick up on him losing the ball.

He obviously does not have manager's confidence from training. Looks like he will be loanded out next year to get more game time.

Agreed, I would like to see Luis and coutinho used exclusively in the centre behind the strikers. Luis needs more minutes
