Hi eds and reds hope all is well ed001 question please, are we going to get a striker in the summer or not? What position are we definitely looking at strengthening in the summer, hope your daughter is well.

hibsylfc

{Ed001's Note - we are looking to sign one yes. Still searching for a keeper as well, plus a central midfielder.}

1.) 17 Feb 2015 09:23:35
Hi Ed001.
With BR seemingly being under pressure to recruit more from within, can you see Rossiter being brought into the first team fold more instead of buying another midfielder. Would personally prefer to see the likes of him wisdom, illori and maybe even Wilson and ojo given a chance rather than spend more money, given our ffp stays currently.
Thanks eds, great work as always!

{Ed001's Note - Rossiter is injured or there is a good chance he would have got some chances while Stevie is out injured.}

2.) 17 Feb 2015 10:13:14
Ed1
Any ideas as to the options mate?

{Ed001's Note - for what mate?}

3.) 17 Feb 2015 10:37:13
Striker goalkeeper and midfielder?
gosh mate you're getting old :-)

{Ed001's Note - depends on getting rid of players first, but the names have been posted by either Ed002 or myself as we hear them. Ings, for instance, Trapp now looks to be totally out, midfielder is being searched for.}

4.) 17 Feb 2015 11:11:51
Trapp would have been great. Have found ed2s note on goalkeepers
Btw do u know of any interest from us in benzema? Might be a tad bit costly but much better than ings. Don't understand the want fora mmidfielder rather promote Rossiter and try and keep Lucas

5.) 17 Feb 2015 13:13:52
I know Liverpool are definitely interested in Milner, but I think he will resign for City if they offer him the length of deal he wants.
If we could also get Ings on a free transfer(compo) that would leave the transfer kitty for a goalkeeper and centre midfielder, hopefully a top drawer one.
I know the budget won't be too much with FFP to stick to but if we could sell some fringe players(borini, Lovren, Lambert, Aspas, Illori, Allen)then we could maybe afford a marquee player if we can attract one.

6.) 17 Feb 2015 14:44:37
A top class CM ll cost us close to 30 mill. Where is the money coming without CL.

7.) 17 Feb 2015 15:22:52
The new TV deal?

{Ed002's Note - No this season or next.}

8.) 18 Feb 2015 02:13:10
Ed's why would a move for Trapp be out? Is it the new contract he has recently signed or is he not looking for a move away from Frankfurt?

{Ed001's Note - he is intending to stay, for now at least.}

25 Jan 2015 00:02:42
Hi eds and reds why has sterling again rejected a second contract offer does even want to stay here or is he playing games with Lfc because it is not looking too good from him at the moment please answer ed001 or 002 thanks

hibsylfc

{Ed001's Note - it is very rare contracts don't go through long negotiation periods mate, don't worry yet.}

1.) 25 Jan 2015 04:01:49
Has he actually rejected a contract or is this all just speculation?

{Ed001's Note - it is not what people mean when they say rejection no.}

2.) 25 Jan 2015 11:23:41
ED001, can you see a resolve soon? I can't imagine we would want him to leave or go into a final year of contract. So will he eventually get what he wants or are LFC more stubborn here days like no player bigger then club etc?

How do you see this playing out, not looking to hold you to your word, just appreciate your insight.

{Ed001's Note - I would expect the issues to be ironed out. We are more stubborn these days, especially after the issues with Suarez, but I can't see them cutting off their noses to spite their face.}

3.) 25 Jan 2015 18:14:13
Great Ed thanks. Hope he stays, can't see him going anytime soon. but never say never

09 Nov 2014 04:04:20
Ed001, is it a viable option for us in jan window to consider Higuain?

hibsylfc

{Ed001's Note - depends on how many we offload, as his wages are high and we are already over the FFP limits. So not really.}

Hi eds and reds, I have a question I am a bit confused now with the Sanchez situation has the bid from arsenal been accepted or not? I personally think if we can not replace Suarez with Sanchez then we should probably think of keeping Suarez because we need to replace him with a person who has the same or similar footballing abilities. What do you all think? Ed001 how is your daughter and what is your thought on Suarez's replacement?
Hibsylfc

hibsylfc

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of any bid from Arsenal for him, sorry. I don't know anything about that.
My daughter is good thanks, just looking forward to her summer hols now. As for replacing Suarez, Sanchez would be fine, or not replacing him at all would be fine by me. I really have gone past caring about him at all.}

ed002 I was reading your replies to an earlier question by one of the fans about the Suarez leaving in the Jan window saga as it is turning out to be. My question is will it make a difference if we do maki it into the top four or is he adamant on leaving, and is it that he is not comfortable in England or what is it? Thankyou.
I am really curious about your answer because I can not really understand this guy. {Ed002's Note - I don't think many understand him. I would have expected him to see out this season and then leave regardless. However, he has his representatives talking to clubs about a January move and he has had a couple of other players talking on his behalf again as I explained. Real Madrid are looking to move Benzema on in January and will indeed look to add one of either Suarez or Aguero if they can. Cavani has said that Suarez has told him he is waiting to join Real Madrid and Castro has said that Suarez has told him that he will win the Champions League with Real Madrid this season. There is no doubt he wants out still but much will depend on what Liverpool's expectations are financially.}

Ed001 how are you I have not posted on a while because of the amount of work I had. I always read every post though how is your daughter hope she is doing well. How is Dubai?
What do you think about us signing Tevez? I know he can be a handful but we really do need someone like him to give some experience and lots of goals as well . What are your thoughts ?

hibsylfc

{Ed001's Note - Tevez? I would prefer to steer clear, great player but terrible attitude and we need to avoid those. We do need someone with his ability and experience, just not him.}

1.) 09 Jun 2015 11:21:11
Why is it that LFC have to avoid great players with bad attitude but other teams don't? he was great for Juve, helped a lot in brining them to the CL final - do they have lower demands in terms of attitude than us? same with Suarez with people here keep on talking of him giving us bad reputation, I didn't hear anyone suggesting he Give Barcelona or gave Ajaz bad reputation. Tevez is a great player and signing him would be an amazing step forward for us. Cannot see this happening though. Too good to be true.

This today was absolutely phenomenal it was a breath of fresh air. Lallana was fantastic, coutinho, and Henderson as well and a very big clap for the much much improved defence. I had a horrible week at work but it is all forgotten now ed001 where are you my friend what did you think?
Good day to all reds everywhere.

hibsylfc

{Ed001's Note - busy enjoying the result but not getting carried away, we made City look worse than they are, but they were poor. Aguero won a few headers in the box against Skrtel, which is a worry, but they really didn't look like they could cope with our attack at all. Still, it would be nice if a cross could be put into the box and have bodies flying in on it, instead of everyone clustered at the edge. We won't keep hitting those screamers every week.

Today was an excellent performance and result, but it needs to happen every week, and it just makes me ask why were we so awful in midweek if that is what we can do?}

1.) 01 Mar 2015 15:00:45
A striker on the pitch and we could have had 3/4 more! Worried about lovren on the ball, and moreno doesn't track runs! Hendo superb. Coutinho could get a yard in a phone box! Allen good too! A loss in the next game and this win is nothing!

2.) 01 Mar 2015 15:10:56
Massive game and win, team were awesome and played their guts out.

I do agree however, the only think you could say we should have done better at is crossing the ball from the wing backs, we still seem to struggle taking on their fullbacks (without Ibe) and getting dangerous crosses into the box. Both Markovic and Moreno are young though and should improve.

I thought today we resembled Liverpool of old fight and aggression and to top it all of Balo scored yeeeeeaaahhhh really well done and Henry was here so really pleased everything was good today. Hope This will give Balo cnfidence and spur him on to better goals.

I want to start by congratulating Stevie on his 700th game.
We won that is all that matters, just one thing we do need to put goals earlier in the game. SMS flaws but with reinforcements on the summer next year will be great.
