hi all- was wondering what peoples thoughts are on left backs? moreno i don't think is good enough defensively but where is the cover- gomez is injured- enrique? can is wasted back there- any one have any ideas? is klopp going to buy in january? a final question- surely balotelli is a much better player to have on the bench/squad than benteke?

Balotelli is possibly the only player since the days of Joey Barton that I would describe as cancerous to a squad - he's a distracting clown, and an average footballer. Our left back cover is Smith until the return of Flanagan, then we will see. However, since Klopp started Moreno has been immense so I'm not sure where the criticism is coming from.

That is an area we will need cover for, for sure. Whether with Brad Smith or a new signing, there has to be cover there.

Moreno immense? The boy doesn't yet have the concentration needed to defend properly.
Two identical goals conceded against Chelsea and Saints show that.

Does it not flaw your theory in that Benteke has more goals already for Liverpool this season that Ballotelli got all last year?

Moreno has never been "immense". He's a mediocre left winger who has been played as a wingback. He's very poor at defending.
Balotelli is better off disrupting some other club.
Undoubtedly talented, undoubtedly lazy, selfish, moody and enigmatic.

I suspect the OP got that many disagrees due to his Balotelli over Beneteke comment.
I certainly won't any sleep over Moreno if he leaves.

Some of the posts here seem to suggest that we shd be content with a 1-0 loss. we were abysmal last night. Whenever the midfield got the ball, they took a touch and slowed the play down. it is sad when Borini is seen as our saviour. in my opinion we need a change of formation. i still believe we have the players to do well in both leagues but they re not been played in their correct position. i would be interested to know other posters opinions.

hi does anyone know how to get tickets for some games this season- if you become a member of Liverpoolfc are you guaranteed a ticket for some low level matches? Cheers
