I think the criticism of BR is harsh., I feel its more down to the fact we have not been able to move on some of the fringe players eg. Johnson, Enrique, Borini and Agger that our promising youngsters have not been given more of a chance. You also can't really expect him to go into such an important season like this and play all of the youngsters straight away, don't get me wrong I would love nothing more than to see players llike Ibe and Suso get a chance but unfortunately that's not going to be the case this year, although I suspect Rodgers to bleed in a few youth players into the squad throughout the season probably Lloyd Jones, Rossiter and could even give Canos a few games in the cups

Very good draw in my opinion, nice to get real madrid as it is a good test for us and will be nice to have a big European night at Anfield again! Other two are probably the best we could have hoped for which is good and at least there are no big mid week trips to russia or ukraine!

Now I know its probably all made up paper talk but. I really hope we aren't going to go for Mauro Icardi especially for the price that is been thrown around, looking at his scoring stats they're awfully similar to Borini' at the same age when he was in the Serie A. I know its obviously stupid to compare the two as I haven't really seen a lot of Icardi but I just think that for 20 odd million what's the point when we already have Borini who could arguably be more effective right away? Anyway rant over haha, would like to here some of your views on the potential Icardi move.

Haven't posted in a year or so but still read the site daily, felt the need though to ask some of yous about the idea of signing Balotelli. I think its abit silly to say he's a target just because Brendan has praised him but I honestly think he would be a quality signing I mean look at the likes of Suarez, Zlatan and Cantona they all had abit of unpredictability about them, so for 14-20m I think its a risk worth taking considering his age and resale value even if he is a flop. anyway back to the point what is the rest of your views?
